Hello everyone.

I have been watching this forum closely as my boyfriend has applied for FSW. I am Canadian and he is currently in Canada on a Working Holiday work visa and he has applied for a bridging open work permit as he received PER March 20. He is currently on implied status.. the processing times for inland work permits gets worse by the day so we hope to get an answer soon :(

I see February PERs are currently getting MR. Would it be a safe assumption to say that we can expect MR in the month of June? (I am assuming Vienna will probably slow down over the summer as entire Europe goes on vacation?)

Also, his PCC that we submitted in December was orginally from February 2014, so we assume by the time it reaches Vienna they will ask for a new one since it is over a year old. We have already applied and received a new one. Should we send it in now or wait till if/when they request it?

Thanks for all your help!

Timeline:
App submitted: Dec 22, 2014
PER: March 20, 2015
App for bridging open work permit submitted: March 22, 2015 (working holiday visa expired May 30, 2015)
AOR (via email): April, 2015

I think it's better to wait with PCC, they will ask for that when processing and will send MR along with that if everything else is ok, GL

Hi Guys,
We completed medical today in Prague. Was very smooth.
You know I told you guys about the name change for my wife and in the MR form sent to us it was her old name. Wrote to the embassy but no one replied me since last week so we went for it today. The physician told us not to worry and do it with the old name that its enough to send the new and old passport scan to the embassy. So fingers crossed!

How long does it take to get passport request?

The waiting starts ;)

Based on others timeline I would say from 20 to 40 days.
Good luck!

people say that it usually takes from 12 to 19 days for smooth applications, since the day medicals are finished. but, a friend of mine, who completed this process and landed already, told me that she has received rprf and ppr TWO DAYS after she's received a line in ecas "medicals have been received". and i received that line on saturday may 30th. do you guys really think that is possible? :o :o :o

Thanks..
Finger-crossed while we wait

When we did ours med., my wife's and children address on the forms was incorrect.
Received PPR and RPRF a month after third line appeared. Now waiting for our passports.

wow! who knows what is the factor which influences the speed of receiving rprf and ppr... did you have any additional document or any other activities in between? i've talked to few more people, and they also confirmed that from "medical received" to rprf and ppr passed top 7 days! i've never even thought about it until now, but now i can't get it out of my head! i guess i'll rather stick with my june 20th as the date i'm expecting rprf and ppr, and if it comes earlier, i'll be screaming happiness anyway! :) :) :)

Start screaming, my guess is 9th of June :P

Hello fellow applicants of Vienna.

I guess some of us who have app recvd dates around 8th Dec are expecting MR this week.

Does anyone have some experience getting the medicals done in Germany?

I am working in Frankfurt.

Cheers

No, no, no additional docs required (I already said to darlings), no other activities between, no update, nothing. . . , it was really unpleasant waiting period, we even write an email to VO after a month since Med. Rec. and still no answer . . . again nothing . . . .
I understand you how you feel because we had the same experience while as it seams to us every body was receiving for " . . top 7 days!" (some even for 2 days)
But then - ITZ predicted max of one week and predicted right. :P

Anyhow I would use this opportunity to inform all of you that even it seems to us that they are slow or some thing is stuck, the personal in immigration is doing their job.
Argument : 2012 our application reached CIC the day when my cap was full filed and documents returned back. But guess what, the document were all checked the same day as received ;)
