LadybugSK, just to let you know that when we had an interview for our tourist visa in Belgrade back in 2012, the lady on the interview said that she wasn't really convinced that we would come back and we thought that they would deny. But, we had to wait for our passports, off cource, and after about two hours they called us to give us the passports with the visas stamped inside.
I am just saying that sometimes you might think they would refuce your visa and then they give you the visa.

Well, I sure hope so that that will be the case, but we'll wait and see. I am really interested what they will say as argents for refusal because what was said on the interview was pure speculation and what if situations, not facts.
Is it normal that nothing has changed on our ecas? The status is still application received.

Did the interviewer tell you that you are denied, or did you just speculate?

The interview ended with a statement that we have put and effort and that is fine but based on his information we cannot be granted a visa, and he said that we can try again, and better luck next time. So I assume that that is it! :-(

Sorry to read that. Weel, I guess there's one thing you can do. Apply for Express Entry program!

did i understand correctly, some of you received a change in ecas before any other communication from your LO? or email correspondence needs to come first?
i don't really care for ecas update, as long as i get my MR ASAP!!!!! )

So nothing today, hopefully we will receive some news tomorrow. I believe that I don`t have to send passport because other people from Croatia also did not send passports. On the other hand, you guys and girls that have been requested to send passports, did you receive some kind of confirmation that your passport has been received, either from Vienna VO or from your snail mail provider?

I sent passport last Monday via registered mail from Germany, but my god ,Deutsche Post! It took 7 days to Austria and the mail is still on the way.

I sent our passports on Friday, March 20 and today they arrived at Vienna Vienna VO. I sent them via FedEx

That is really slow. Do you know if Vienna VO is sending some kind of confirmation that your docs have been received or will they just make a decision, update your status and send you back the passport?

I am so eager to get back to Canada.

5. The Return of your Passport(s)

Your immigration documentation and your passport(s) will be mailed out to you within 7 days from the date that the visa office receives your passport(s) via the same transmission method you selected.
The documentation and passport(s) will be returned to the mailing address we have in our records, unless instructed otherwise.

If you choose this option, you must supply a pre-paid commercial courier coupon. Ensure that all the required information is completed on the pre-paid commercial courier coupon, including:
- your full mailing address in the "Deliver To" field

- the address of the Canadian Embassy in Vienna in the “Return Address” field (see address above)

- your account details


Once you have arranged the pre-paid pick-up with the commercial courier service, the commercial courier company must contact our section by e-mail
