We have friends that passed all stages in less then 6 months, Vienna VO. Sent application mid June, got PER in October, done MR in December, they got passports back with visas just before new year. But, he has sister in Canada so that could be the 'shortcut' although no one knows for sure.
We originally sent application beginning of July, but in October got it back since one form wasn't signed (needless to say I almost had a nervous breakdown because it was my mistake). But, that was the only mistake so we just changed forms and sent again.
I still hope we will get MR soon.

What I expect is document request actually, cause I haven't sent pcc for my spouse but no idea how hard is for them to send mail and ask for it while they do background check ???

Vikiwow I have also not send pcc - also wondering why they are not asking for this? Maybe they'll do one request for both PCC and MR :)) - to cut down on costs...

Sorry for dumb question, what is PCC? Police certificate?
We sent for both of us with application.
Friend I mentioned got doc request with MR, only asked for new police certificates.

yes pcc = police cer.

I expect they might request an interview to prove our marriage is legit since we had got married 2 months before we sent the application :D
We sent PCCs with the application.
The guys I mentioned earlier don't have relatives in Canada, but they did apply through a representative, but I think this shouldn't have any impact on the speed of the process.

well, since almost all of you guys have "something else"
you expect to be asked from vienna, that means that i am getting my MR within next coupe of weeks, right?! :D :D :D i've sent our pccs, our marriage is long, we don't have anything to add, and my app is pretty much straight forward. and i know many people from my country that have gotten their visas within 8 months. so i will be one of them, right?? please confirm! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I thought to share with you that I contacted Vienna office by email and got feedback today after 3 days.
I asked them to confirm if my file is received by LVO and they confirmed it.

What is strange or pure coincidence, is that Febraury 3rd is the date when they got it, while my PER has been issued on very same date.

I wonder if anyone knows who sends PER, LVO or Nova Scotia?

Hi,
I just get update status today and share my timeline with you.

21.7 file received
03.11 PER
03.02 MR
23.02 ME done
12.03 MR received

I have looked ad the spreadsheet a little and there is some pattern in the way that Vienna VO is processing application. It looks like it is processing them together at the same time and then when they pile up they send out bulk notifications to many applicants on the same day. Sometimes, when the application requires some additional attention, they do it separately and update the ECAS separately.
It is usually updated on Tuesday, occasionally on some other day.
Unfortunately, because of this, some applicants must wait for others to finish their MRs or document updates and etc. It would probably be much faster if they did it on case by case basis.

sydney office issues PER, but you might have been lucky to have your app transferred the same day to our LO. or, which sounds more likely, they have reviewed your app long before, lets say on january 28th, but they've updated statuses / sent our PER emails on feb 3rd.. as i said before, i really think they do things in bulk!
