Thank you!

By the way I am here in Vienna, and I wasn't as lucky as Yoda, they asked me to come back at 3 P.M. ...
That's quite enough time if you want to spent some extra €'s. :)
For example on sacher cake in original Demel bakery (one of the two bakeries with exclusive right to use sacher brand name).
http://www.demel.at/en/frames/index_wien.htm

One slice is 4.10 € :)

Here is it on map:

Dear friends,

Please excuse my absence, I was busy in recent days.
So let me share my experiences with you.
After I payed RPRF, I sent them confirmation of our mailing address as well as official payment receipt.
Additionally I informed them that we would like to come personally for "same day service" and asked them can we plan a trip.
They answered very quickly so we decided to make a little excursion to Vienna.
After rethinking we decided not to drive both directions in same day so we took hotel, we found discount, good price for only 43€.
Hotel was less than 10 km away from Canadian embassy
http://goo.gl/CuVtUW
This turned out as perfect decision since we found nearby street parking place, and since we arrived in 8PM, parking was free of charge.
Regardless of parking zone, street parking is tolled from 09:00-19:00
The funny thing happened when we arrived and parked car. As I removed mobile/gps from docking I saw that mail arrived from viennaimmigration saying that they thank me for information provided and that they will send our COPR's by mail within next few days :D

Anyway, next morning we got breakfast in hotel (it was in price) and went to embassy. We found parking garage in PraterStrasse http://goo.gl/fGsYFo charging 3€ per hour.
Embassy is really close, we just crossed the bridge and there was nice Canadian flag in Laurenzerberg street.
When you enter building you neet to go in elevator and embassy is on 2'nd or 3'rd floor (sorry I'm not sure anymore).
Now in elevator I found myself with really fast beating heart, don't know why :)
When you exit elevator security guy waits. You just tell him that you arrived to pick up COPR and he says no problem.
You will leave your mobile phones in locker and after you pass through security passage security guy will usher you into waiting room. Take the number and wait for your turn.
It was around 9 AM and there was 6 people in front of us. Now I understand why they don't allow to call them and speak with "person" over phone. Man, these guys there was so unprepared. Most of them was there for TRV visa but they had missing documents. One guy asked for TRV visa for him, his wife and two children but only had papers for one child!?
And of course, nice lady tried to explain him that she can't accept this application, giving him instructions and so on... and he spend at least 20 minutes.
After while it was our turn, and everything went smooth and fast. In first iteration lady took out passports and RPRF receipt. After minute she came back and said that we should come around 3 PM, telling us that everything will be done but before we leave just to sit few more minutes to issue letter for us immediately.
Few minutes later she called us again and said, to wait for a while, we will be immediately done with complete process since we don't need to get visa affixed in passports (we are from visa exempt country).
And than she called us third time and gave us our COPR's and enclosing letter. She said we should sit and check everything. If all information are correct we are finished.
Very nice and kind lady.
We were done and left embassy around 10:00-10:30
And that's it, than we went in Vienna site seeing and later on in shopping complex on Vienna exit.

Today I checked eCAS and obviously during weekend third line appeared - Decision Made.

Ca7r10na and Vitallia, I hope you are next!
Is there any movement in your process?
Congratulations Yoda! Oszi - congratulations to you too!
And Yoda this was great INFO !

So my story of going to Vienna for CoPRs for my family:

I started early, to get there in Vienna by 8:30. When I arrived to Laurenzerberg 2 (3rd floor), I met first with the security guard, who asked me to put my phone in a locker, and checked my stuff in the x-ray machine, while I passed through the metal detector (quite like at an airport). There were only 2 people in the waiting room, and I was called first, because they forgot to pull numbers :) A very kind lady took my RPRF receipt, and looked at our passports, then after 5-10 minutes asked me to come back at around 3 P.M., and gave me an appointment card. I asked the security guard going out, if I can come earlier, and he told me yes, from 1.30 PM they are open again (for appointments). I used the same parking garage as Yoda (that is the most convenient and one of the cheapest), and came back by 2.15 P.M., went through the same security check, and they called me to the window to hand over the CoPRs (2 copies for each family member), and an instruction how to prepare for landing. After mutual smiles, and thank you's, I left with our CoPRs.

Very simple really, RPRF can be payed online by credit card, and the PDF you get as a receipt, you just need to print, fill out a few data, and take it to Vienna VO. Plus your passports if you are not visa exempt.

BC, congratulations!! ;)
Your next step (line 6 :) ) is to gain citizenship! :)
LOL, thanks. We'll see about that.

Congrats to you and oszi for getting the COPR.

To everybody else - hang in there, I know it feels horrible sometimes, but they will get there eventually.

Thank you everyone! I wish you the same fast processing once you get MR! My guess is that during these weeks they receive most of the FSW2014 applications from CIO, which they need to preprocess and file. I think early august they will continue processing old ones, all of yours'.

I will land in Calgary, and I already have a lease agreement for a house, I could manage renting it from Budapest, which makes our arrival much less stressful. Now the remaining 2 big challenges are the start of school for our kids, and me finding a job. Then buying a new car + getting an Alberta driving license. (after 13 years of driving at home I will have to pass a driving exam, quite funny) :)

Best of luck to all of you!

Dear oszi,

Regarding getting driving license, we are all in same boat.
We need to pass exam in driving school, BUT check this link:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/issue-with-ontario-drivers-licence-strike-t30236.0.html;msg225433#msg225433

I believe you already familiar with procedure but just in case...
before you leave your country try to get two additional documents:
1. Confirmation from police department stating how many years you hold your driving license, and
2. from insurance company try to get that you didn't have any accidents, actually stating that you have maximal bonus discount putting you as a driver in low-risk category.

First document is very important so you can get G2 license immediately, and second one *MIGHT* help you with insurance companies when you buy a car. As far as I learnt, this depends how lucky you are. Some people lowered their insurance installments with this document, others wasn't so lucky and they had to pay full insurance like they never drove.
Same thing waiting for me as well.
My friend succeeded to get G2 license immediately (after passing road test) but in his first year he was paying 400$ for car insurance in Ontario and now almost three years later, around 270$.

Best of luck!

This all depends on the Province.
In BC, you can turn in your old DL, and - depending on the country where it was issued - get a new DL without and tests.

Same for car insurance. This is state-regulated in BC. The downside of this is, it is way more expensive than in other Provinces. The positive side, however, is they accept prior claims-free records from other countries.
