Hello to all my friends here inn the FSW section of Vienna

As some of you know already we got PPR on May 7th. Two day later (9/5/14) I mailed my wife's passport through regular snail mail (not so snail after all :) ) and here is the good story..Apparently our envelope arrived in Vienna on the 12th. Next day 13th it was stamped and mailed to mus with the COPR and we received it here in Greece on the 19th.
Total days from Greece to Vienna to Greece = 10 Days... (including the stayover at the embassy)
The whole deal costed me four euros and fifty cents to sent as registered mail..

oopps BTW We are flying to Canada in mid July!

It was nice knowing you all and although we were FAM I shared your pain and anguish over the long Vienna process for the past almost 15 months..

May GOD have you and your families blessed and wishing for a fast and positive end to your process!

Tom and family

3rd line was added to eCAS sometime last night:
"3. Medical results have been received."
;D

Now I am impatiently waiting for the PCCs, to have them translated and forwarded to Vienna.

BC, wooow, that was fast! Does your Panel Physician has eMedical system or you needed to organize delivery by courier?

@Borojevic, once again congratulations! It's so great that you guys are ready to take off and I'm sincerely happy for you.
For rest of us, well, waiting is behind all and my most pessimistic expectations. I'm so depressed and disappointed. Even forum fell into dormant state, no news, no updates.

Cheers!

Yes, it was fast. I did not expect it to show this quickly (or at all, knowing how unreliable eCAS is).
The physician we went to is located in downtown Vancouver/BC and is connected to the eMedical system. I specifically looked for that, because you don't have to worry about the postal service, and it makes everything faster. Also: physician's office, X-ray and Lab - all in the same building.

Btw:
The examination itself was rather ridiculous and lasted maybe 5-10min per person ("have you had any illnesses?" "do you take any medication?", blood pressure, abdomen check, patella reflex, and a very basic visual test), so nothing to worry about.
X-ray: they do that for every person (also children), checking for tuberculosis (active or inactive)
Urinanalysis: just general drug-testing, and maybe enzyme-abnormalities
Blood (for every person 15 and older): HIV and Syphilis
I believe, they are not specifically looking for anything else.

However, if there is a preexisting condition, or the general appearance makes the physician curious, he will most probably conduct a more thoroughly examination.

Dear BC,

Oh, you are in Canada already?
Thank you for your insight regarding medical process.
Yes, so I heard before. Hopefully won't be any trouble with medical once I get MR.
And once again congrats on your successful entrance in finish phase. You really deserve it after all time you've been waiting for it.
When I feel anxious about so anguish waiting, I remember your case and think how it must been for you, so we need to be patient.

Cheers!

porto, did you apply for FSW 2013 or FSW 2014?

I presume you applied for 2014, in that case I encourage you to visit FSW 2014 timeline thread here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2014-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t199004.19890.html

you could enter your data on following form:

http://tinyurl.com/FSW14-Entry

to be listed in tracking spreadsheet:

http://tinyurl.com/FSW14-Spreadsheet

After you receive PER mail, come back here in Vienna thread and be prepared on loooong waiting...

Cheers!

Hi All,

I have a permanent residence in the Czech Republic, so unfortunately I'll have to apply for the Canadian visa a the Viennese office. Heard they are too slow, so I'm quite worried :S. My plan is to come to Vancouver to visit my boyfriend in August. I'm planning to buy a flight ticket for 5th August. If I go to Vienna to apply for the visa next Monday, 9th June, do you think I'll have enough time for the visa application? They work Mon-Thu, which means they'll have 36 days to process the visa. Another question is: Is it more difficult to apply for a multiple entry visa than the single entry one?

Thanks a lot in advance for your reply! :)

Best,

J.

Look what a answer i got , i asк they for some information?

Dear Ms.

With reference to the below inquiry please be informed that we have received the Schedule A forms.

You may wish to consult the following web site regarding processing times http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index-can.asp.

The application was transferred from the Centralized Intake Office Sydney (NS) to our office in March 2014.

Processing times may vary, depending upon whether any additional documentation or an interview is required, the time required for medical examinations and changes in workload at this office.

We will contact you in due course if we need additional documents.

Yours sincerely,
