1. As many before I have a conditional admit letter saying I should get 8/10 and complete my Bachelor's degree. Is it enough if I attach copies of my final marksheets and completion certificate along with the Visa application? Are photocopies of the same enough?
2. Secondly, I have applied for the GIC and expect to receive it in the coming days. For the remaining tuition amount, can I show money in my account? However, the money is not on it for more than 4 months, since I transferred the same from FD's. Will this be an issue? Is there any way around the same?
3. Finally, the application form asks the cost of studies and the amount you have for financing the same currently. Should we mention one year or two year cost? The Canadian Visa website mentions you need to show only the cost for one year? Can we show the second year cost in the form of FD's, Shares? I can also attach a house deed if necessary.
Please do reply as I'm in a total dilemma.
Please do reply, I'm in a real confusion right now?
Thanks a lot for the reply.lovedeepsingh said:1)Yes
2)If the statement shows that money came from FD's,then it may work but for a perfect case money should be kept for 4 or more years. You paid fee?
3)I am sure about mebtioning the cost. Many people mention whole fee but i mentioned fee of one year.Yes you can show FD,not sure about shares as shares may drop also.House deed is required only for general so do not attach irrelavant docs.
As a whole show Saving+ fd+ gic + fee receipt + gpf .
Which uni are you joining?ithinksoiam said:Thanks a lot for the reply.
I have paid the GIC $10,100 and I'm also ready to pay the tuition fee! But the problem is that I need to confirm all my courses before I can pay the tuition fee! And my Professor hasn't replied. So i'm not able to pay the tuition fee. So the money for the same is parked in my savings account right now transferred from my dad's account and other FD's. I was planning to show the money in my account itself, thus eliminating the need for Affidavit of Sponsor.
And you're sure that if we mention the one year amount ($8,000(tuition)+10,000(GIC)) in the form and show finances for the same its enough? It is not required to show fixed assets for the second year or mention the amount?
My problem is not the money itself, which I can show for more than the first year. But rather the fact that I don't have it in my account for more than 4 months. Is there any option around this?
Also on behalf of everyone here, I really wanna thank you! Most people have managed the process thanks to your help.!
I'm joining University of British Columbia (Vancouver) for a MASc degree. I asked the university about the fees, the problem like I said is that I have to chose atleast one of my courses before the dues appear online. And my professor isn't replying to choose the courses!lovedeepsingh said:Which uni are you joining?
Ask your uni that can you prepay the fee? because i prepayed my tuition fee of one term before registration.
Basically you need to show one year expenses n fee but its always better to show more money so you should utilize all your sources.
From how long you have the money in your account, what was/is the maximum balance?
Is it like that you suddenly deposited 2-3 lakhs in it or more.Because not only VO even if you or me see the sudden positive change in money then one will think that you have borrowed.
You can show money in your account and sponsorship affidavit is not a big deal buddy as you can easily get it.
Do tell the name of uni n course.
Job of vfs file is to cross check your docs n transfer it to chc.ithinksoiam said:I'm joining University of British Columbia (Vancouver) for a MASc degree. Like I said I can give a bank statement showing that there is a certain amount of money in my account which is equal to 1.5 of the two years cost alongwith GIC. However I can't show bank passbook for last four months as I transferred it from FD's in my dad's name only last month.
Btw I also asked VFS Canada today and they were clueless! But you said that you mentioned only one year fees there right? Not two years? They had no idea or answers to any questions!
One more thing! Can I show money as a combination of accounts in my name and those of my father?
Thanks a lot for the reply lovedeepsingh.. Much Appreciated..lovedeepsingh said:Yes loan will do the trick.
Thanks! Just one thing. I am planning to pay my fees online. I have the option either to pay for the first term only or first two terms of the First academic year. Which would be advisable? Can I pay for first two terms itself?lovedeepsingh said:Job of vfs file is to cross check your docs n transfer it to chc.
Yes you can show joint accounts.
Payment of Full First year fees is ***strongly recommended ***, anyhow u gonna pay your fees later , better pay it now! Both 1st and 2 semester fees.ithinksoiam said:Thanks! Just one thing. Then I would be having GIC+Payment of tuitions fees for first two terms.
Apart from this, if I give a bank statement for a buffer amount, would that be enough for Visa purpose? The website mentions that the preferred method of showing funds is GIC+ Payment of tuition fees. So anything apart from that is required? Please advice! Thanks
If you can pay fee of one year then go for it.ithinksoiam said:Thanks! Just one thing. I am planning to pay my fees online. I have the option either to pay for the first term only or first two terms of the First academic year. Which would be advisable? Can I pay for first two terms itself?
