Well I am not sure about that what YOU should mention because I am not an expert.But I can tell you what i did..i didnt mention anything for may13-may14.
M even in SOP i didnt mention anything though lot of people told me to clear the reason for deffering but i didnt.
so dont worry about one year gap bcs they also understand that student needs time to prepare for uni,taking Ielts and arranging docs.Moreover Unis whole procedure takes 4-6 months so you are good here.
About the finance i think you should show some extra money in the form of loan,bank balance or FDs.That will make your case stronger.
And congrats fot U of T.

not in this thread.But you can ask your query here.If you are not taking GIC then you should show education loan + fee n you should not use loan for the fee.

SOP is used as cover letter, i believe.

Education history
Future study in canada
Link it with your previous education n the job that you will get in India.
your hometies and family background.
why canada.

I did the same thing did not bother to explain what I did during the past six months when I was not working.

but they have asked to mention what you were doing in study permit questionnaire without leaving any gaps ??

I jus mentioned my current status as "Not Working" that's it.

write not applicable under employer name, etc and write the stuff which you were doing

I got visa in just 4 days....... My term will start from 1st septmeber ........so can we enter in canada 2 months before starting our term ?
My consultant told that sometimes Immigration Officer doesnt allow us to enter from airport if we do so early......

Anyone have a idea ? please tell

You should have a strong reason that why you want to go 2 months before classes.
And you should have funds to support your living for 2 months without working illegaly.
Or go one month before to eliminate all these issues.
