I was offered admission in University of toronto for M.Eng for jan 2014 but got it deferred for fall 2014 due to non availability of courses of my choice in jan term.
i am going to apply for visa next week and i am afraid as i have 1 year gap. Does 1 year gap creates any negative impact???
i am going to apply in chandigarh and have heard they give more rejections compared to delhi on such issues . is it true?? and how should i fill this gap in my student questionnaire form???
completed my B.Tech-mechanical 2013 with 9.1/10
Ielts -7.5 -june 2013

1 year gap is acceptable.I had the similar situation like you,deffering from winter to fall,i got visa though.
If your application is genuine and good they wont reject it anywhere in Delhi or chd.

Wat should i mention in student questionnaire form?? is it fine if i write i was preparing for entrance exams and visa from july 2013 to may 2014??

and do i need to write SOP to explain the reason why i deferred my course???

and in financial documents i am only attaching my fee receipt(paid 1 years fee of 20200 CAD) and GIC certificate..will that be enough???

M.Eng is course oriented
while M.Asc is research oriented and requires completion of thesis for the award of degree.
You need to get a supervisor for your research before you can apply for M.Asc while its not required for M.Eng
At undergraduate level i think there is only 1 degree
still i am not sure . you can check university website you are applying to.
