I guess it is the section about current mailing address right? If the country is other than U.S or Canada the province state and postal code is not mandatory.
 
I will be applying under university category , so do i need to fill temporary resident Form (IMM 5483). Also what is the difference between university category and general category.

I'm having this issue wherever state/province is to be mentioned.

If you cannot type anything it means that it is not required. When a section is required it has a star with it and highlight with red box until you fill it.

I read various posts on this website and they have all been very helpful. I received an admit from Concordia University for Master of Applied Computer Science but my problem is that it does not have the thesis option. I plan to pursue research and obtain a Phd and I think universities will not allow me entry in a Phd program without a Masters thesis.

Can I transfer to Master of Science Computer Science from Master of Applied Computer Science?

If I can then can anyone guide me what are the steps involved?

I have been working in an IT MNC for the past 4 years and recently decided to go for higher studies.

Please suggest and give your valuable insights.

For MAsc you need a profesor who will supervise you for your research work.
For this one have to communicate with the profs over email and tell them about your past research and academics.Students do it wat before applying for Univ.
And some univ distrubute the files of candidates to all the faculty members for their recommendations and if any profs raise his interest in the file he gets MAsc and rest of people or most of people like you n me get MEng.

So now that I have received an admit for Master of Applied Computer Science does it mean that I cannot change it to another Masters degree like MS in Comp Sci which has thesis option.
I was under the impression that I can enroll in Concordia under the course offered(Master of Applied Computer Science) and then change my stream to the Masters course containing thesis option (MS in CS).
Can anyone provide insights about job prospects in Canada after completing Master of Applied Computer Science from Concordia??

Well again you need a supervisor.
Contact your department about this.
Computer science grads have jobs everywhere in thevworld :p
 
Hi Lovedeep, when contacted my university to send a fee receipt for amount transferred they are saying they cannot send one till July by which it will be too late to apply for a visa. When I explain the stuation to them they are not being helpful.
In another thread here Sharjeel advised me to jus take a printout of the balance shown in my student account. Do you recommend this as well?

Which university you are into?
You didnt get any auto generated email?Check your university email account.I got auto generated email as well as manual receipt.
So check it.
And if there is no other option then you can take a print out of your student account.

Queen's. I did not get any mail from them finally after sending multiple mails to them they sent a letter with university seal saying I have done the payment. Huge relief :)
 
In the application from IMM 1294 for "My program of study will be" if i just enter "master of engineering" will that be alright?

Master of engineering with department.
If its covering more space then mention MEng with full department name.Name of depart should be clear.Like i wrote MEng Environmental Engineering.
 
Hi Lovedeep,

Will be applying for a visa on the 13th. Could you please let me know regarding work experience, if I just provide work experience certificate will that be enough?
