Hi Friends,

I have applied for SINP and recently got my APEGS license. When SINP nominates me , I need to be ready with the PCC to be submitted once I get the ITA.

Can you guys, please let me know the procedure to get PCC from Sri Lanka. Can we apply on-line. ? How long does it take.
Please advise.
Thanks
It will take exactly two weeks to deliver it to SL address via normal registered post.

If you even in SL you can apply from the WEB form. But I have not done it. What I have done was I completed the web from and went to the PHQ early in the morning and hand delivered the application to them. This will reduce the waiting time, because an office checks you application for completeness then and there if there is something incomplete then they do not accept the application. But good to go early in the morning around 8. Otherwise you will have to wait in the line for a long time. If all goes well they will send the PCC within two weeks.

Guys.
Got nominated from SINP. Thought of applying for PCC online.
In the online application what should I enter for the following fields
1 - High commission/embassy / consulate name (address and the name of theauthority)
2 - indicate address of the High commission/embassy / consulate to which the certificate should be addressed to.

What did you guys fill in for these fields. Please help

Since we are uploading this application directly to cic, shouldn't this be addressed to them. Just curious.

Not sure this is what i have done and my file is still under process.

Pretty straightforward actually.
I applied through here :
https://eservices.police.lk/ClearanceCertificate/home.action

You'll get it in 2 weeks. I put my home address in Sri Lanka and my parents couriered it to me. It's much faster. If not it will take month or more for international mail to arrive.

Also, make sure you indicate all your travels and visits to Sri Lanka when you are applying. Unlike police reports from other countries, Sri Lankan PCC actually indicates the times periods of your stay in SL.

After I left SL for work in Qatar, I have been visiting SL for my vacations a couple of times in a year and that is just for like 2-3 weeks only. Do I have to mention all these when applying?

I don't thnki so. When you live in Qatar your residency is changed with the work permit. Then you are a resident of that country. So you will have to get a PCC from Qatar for the whole period. That period will be excluded from Sri Lankan PCC. This is my personal opinion. I was in the similar situation and done the same. No ADRs yet. But in the travel history you have to mention all your travels to SL on EE profile.

Excellent. Yes, I have a PCC from Qatar covering the whole period of stay in Qatar. I want to get the PCC from SL only for the period from my birth to leaving SL. I'm worried if I put my travel history will they mention my last visit to SL as the period of my stay?

Btw Thank you !

No exemption to provide travel history. Because you will have to provide all the pages of your passport. So when they see the stamps in and out when those are not in line with your travel history on the EE profile your application will be rejected.

Oh Thanks.. I didn't know that I have to provide a copy of all pages o_O..

Thank you. All the best !

Is EPF accepted as POF ?

Well I recommend you include all your travel dates when you apply for the PCC from Sri Lanka. They actually tell you to do this when you apply online.

I went to Sri Lanka a few times during my stay abroad so I still included the dates I was physically present is SL in my PCC application from time of birth to the day of the application.

So when I received my PCC, they actually mention the days of my visit, even though I was technically not living there any more (I'm still a SL citizen but they dont give a blanket PCC coverage date from the date of your birth to the day you apply). On the other hand other PCCs like the Indian PCC do that even though you might not have stayed in the country for many years (they dont specify the dates you were away from the country and came for visits etc.).

Anyways up to you, but I would include all the dates you came to visit SL, keeping in mind the stamps and dates stated in your passport. They will check those stamps and correlate the dates of your visits.
