Importantly, do u have access to ur CIC account? I mean I applied through an agent and I dont have any access... Since my agent is in Canada I wont be getting any updates today as its a holiday
I applied by myself, so i have access to the account. No updates today also. And didnt even have ghost updates. I dont know my current VO, some say that after IP2 , applications which were at Ottawa got transfered to Sydney. But i have no idea abt mine. Didnt call CIC too. I thought of waiting till the end of november to call.

Y only girls can cry :p ??? ... Is it ;)
I was thinking that way, coz soo many smilies.... anyways lets keep it anoynymous coz this is a public forum :p:p:p:p:p

Hikz :D
here, btw how do you know your file got approved?
I dont know whether my file is approved. I just thought after IP2 it goes to Sydney, and Sydney approves it and sends it to the local VO.... I dont know whether its correct though :confused::confused::confused:

I saw in most of the threads some experts are not recommended emailing Ralph till the application reaches 6 months timeline. They may not know how desperate we are...
I am not going to email him. Because he might be getting loaded with emails now.

The thing is we actually dont knw what is going on with our files.
We cannot guarantee IP2 = file approved.
I saw in June thread, a guy has moved to IP2 bt yet, the security hasnt started..
These stages are really unpredictable, for some ppl, IP2 means the approval, but for some it is not.

Yes, in my case I have moved to IP2 on last Friday. In the same week Wednesday, I have emailed Ralph to ask about my statuses. According to him ( and also my GCMS notes confirmed the same) both Criminality and Security assessments have not yet initiated.

Therefore, it is obvious that there is no such a correlation between moving to IP2 and the assessment statuses.

In general, timelines tend to vary for applicants based on personal travel history, multiple employers and background checks. So there is no definite timeline. In general most Sri Lankan applicants tend to receive their PPR within 140-150 days since the day of AOR. It would be easier for the visa officer to process through the application and determine the final decision as long as the documents are well organized, precise and most importantly relevant.

Wishing all the senior members the best of luck in receiving their PPRs!!! Glad to see an active group here....
