My friends are done in 9 months and one in 13 months both applied after me

That seems frustrating , sometimes they send the medical request at the very end and follows with PPR. GOOD LUCK , I hope you get the good news soon , I can understand how you are feeling , just hang in there .

Yes I am but it’s like why only mine taking exactly 18 months than others can’t do anything so just waiting

I will complete the whole year on october 22 2019 and i have no idea if I will be waiting till the end of my processing time which is another 6 months to reach PPR , all you can do is wait .

Order gcms note says security in process, criminality and eligibility not started.
Experts please advise is this normal steps cic follow?

I have same profile as yours except mine security not started yet .. criminality passed .. eligibility don't know .. file moved to Calgary before March/2019

So just called them again and asked about update on criminality , eligibility and security and a very nice representative (Terry) answered .
He said that criminality is still going on and he didn't answer anything about eligibility or security being passed but said that my file is under review , once that is done i will get decision made and passport request , but he also said that i still have 6 months to reach 18 month mark that is april 2020 and i should hear something by then , im just thankful to god that my file is moving forward after being stuck in criminality for almost 4 months . does anybody have any knowledge about this situation ? I always thought your file goes under review after you've cleared eligibility and criminality , either way im not complaining just curious about what's going on.

I also called CIC yesterday and my eligibility and security are passed. Criminality still in process for my spouse (mine is passed). Talked to a nice representative too, he was surprised that application is almost completing 1 year although everything is fine with it (no warning flags), but he didn´t provide a date, just said that maybe won´t take long, just wait. So, the waiting game continues....

A ghost update is always great news!! Your file is moving. Is there a letter on your account regarding your spouse birth certificate or just e-mail? As I was never asked additional documents, just remedical and biometrics, which needed a letter from IRCC to undergo the procedures, I dont´t know if it is normal to receive an e-mail directly from officer, but I think it is valid. Maybe you should call CIC next week just to confirm.
