Applicants from Russia - Processing Times

Those of you who applied at the VAC in Russia, how long did it take for your application to be processed?
My classes start on September 5th and I am planning to apply on July 31st, which leaves 5 weeks for processing (CIC website shows that processing time for Russia is 5 weeks).

I am not sure if I should apply now or transfer to January. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

Not Russia but another former USSR country. I would apply. My processing time has also stated 5 weeks but I got a decision in less than a week. Good luck!
