Hi everyone,

I applied my Canada Student Visa on May 22, 2014, and done my medical exam on July 7. Up to this date, I haven't received any relevant updates from the official about the next stage. I tried to make inquiry through the case specific enquiry site, but failed due to some server error "Server Error in '/enquiries-renseignements' Application.". Worst of all, I try to contact Singapore Visa office helpline and got hang up by the receptionist multiple times or put into on hold, terrible service. I'd also tried to email them several times through their "general inquiry email" but no reply was given. By right the medical exam respond processing time should takes around 2 weeks before they decide, but mine already takes nearly a month and not even single respond is given . Feeling helpless and lost at the same time, I really hope someone who have similar experience like me can provide more information about how to solve this delay issues. My study semester will start around 25th August, I'm afraid that I will not make it =((!

P/S: My panel physician had confirmed with me that the medical report was properly submitted on July 7.

I had applied in April for a study visa, was requested to do my medical, then to send in my passport. I was sooo happy that everything was going so smoothly, then they never contacted me. The officer at Wisma MCA told me stamping takes about 1-2 weeks... It took 1 month +, I was getting anxious, So I e-mail them asking if there was any problem. They didn't reply me but I got the e-mail saying my application has been dispatch back to KL within the week. So I go collecting expecting a visa, only to see that it was rejected :(

:o :o...same thing happens to me, i applied on May 20th, and till this date i haven't received any news yet. Would you mind to share with me what had actually happened to your application? Did they state any reason why your visa is being rejected?

l have submitted my application since Sept 2011 until this year 2014 June received medical check up request from Singapore VO. After done my medical test in July, I'm still waiting for Singapore VO to revert when they will send me the PPR.

It's a long long wait.... The medical check up is send after I 've continuously/ consistently send them email for the past 10 months since 2013 (every two - three weeks send them an email to ask what is the status of my application) than finally they reply.

I understand there are strike going on last year but now it's already Oct 2014. I still haven't heard anything from them after the medical test. It's getting kin of worry what is going on.

Anyone are facing the same situation like me?

Hope to hear from you guys. What is the time frame they will revert after medical test done? :-[ :-[ :-[

Regards,
Winnie Bear

Hi KL_wait,

Yes. Got my visa stamped. I would suggest you email them ( use the case specific in the CIC official website) and ask what is the status of your application.

There is a lot of changes going on with the immigration law recently, so my advice is to contact them ASAP and find out your status.

Did you ask where they transfer your file to? I believe it's with Singapore Visa Office, but please confirm with them.

Hope the above helps.

A new medical test might required because I saw the date of your last medical test done have pass 2 years.

Hope above info helps.

Cheers & have a great weekend ahead!

Winnie Bear :)

Does the SGVO still accept in-person submissions for passport stamping? Or can I only mail-in now?

I applied for a study permit on May 7 with an upfront medical report, got asked for a letter of good conduct which was submitted on May 19, then got the passport request on May 26. Should be approved right? :)

No SGVO does not accept walk in applicants for whatever the porpose is. When they requested for your passport there will be instructions included, either dropbox, mail with returned envelop, or through VFS. And usually yes when they sent you PPR, is for visa stamping.
