I have also applied from Brisbane, Australia in May, 2013. I selected Sydney, Australia as my visa office But not sure whether it will be processed at CPP-Ottawa or Sydney, Australia. I hope it will be processed at Sydney, Australia.

Have u received any response yet? would it be correct to presume it would be processed quicker if its done in Sydney not Ottawa as there is a lot less applicants through there? I really want mine approved by april/may 2014 so i can go back for summer next year!! b

Does it matter what visa office you request? From other threads it looks like they all go to CPP Ottawa.

So far I know applicants from Canada or applicants submitted their application from Canada (irrespective of their current mailing and residential address) got their application processed at CPP-Ottawa.

I send an inquiry to CIO, Sydney asking for my file's location and contact email of the visa office. Lets see what they reply.

Oh I see - if you applied from your home country I guess it would indeed be processed there (as opposed to those of us currently in Canada).

I'm hoping our application will be processed in Sydney, Aus too. Does anyone know where i send additional documents (NOC, police certificates, etc). Received AOR in July.......Thanks

I have applied from australia also, was in vancouver 4 years, application sent in march, AOR 24th april,
nothing further since then.

From what i can see im hoping i should get mr's sometime in january..

Also unclear about where my app will be processed so if you get some answers do let us all know.

Several weeks back I got response from CIC that my application is at CPP-Ottawa . I think all CEC applications are processed at Ottawa irrespective of country of residence and visa office selected in application.
