Hi Seniors,

I am planning to send an application in next month,

could someone pls send me following detsil

1. Include photocopies of all pages of the passports - Do I need to have notarized copy of all the pages?,
2. Do i need to send 10th and 12th certificates notarized copy?
3. Please give me notary address and rate , if someone has already completed the whole process
4. How long it will take to get Police certificate? - as i know currently its not required to send to CIO
5. Can somebody explain how to represent Proof of Funds, i.e. lets say I am having 2 bank account statements, Some FDs, MFs and Stock Statements, do I need to have covering letter indicating amount in each segment and have notary stamp on it.
6.Do we need to create two different envelope 1 for CIO and another for Visa OFfice with indicated documents, the reason behind asking this question is, when we read two checklists 1 - CIO and another Visa specific office, both stated like include all the following documents in sealed envelope. - please help me out from this question
7. Can someone specify checklist for main envelope like
one envelope for CIO office
another for visa specific office and similar like this

8. Please provide me contact numbers so we can have telephonic discussion if required.

A;NOT COMPULSORY BUT ITS GOOD TO SEND AS IT IS A MATTER OF TWO DOCS ONLY

A:USUALLY IN AHMEDABAD NOTARY CHARGE FOR SIMPLE TRUE COPY IS BETWEEN 7-10 RUPEES PER DOC. U CAN BARGAIN IT
4. How long it will take to get Police certificate? - as i know currently its not required to send to CIO
A: IT DEPENDS ON UR VYAVHAR NORMALLY IT TAKES APPROX. 15 DAYS ( KEEP IN MIND U NEED TO APPLY THROUGH COMMISSIONER OFFICE NOT FROM PASSPORT OFFICE)

A: U CAN SHOW FDS AND AS ON DATE BANK STATEMENT( NO NEED OF PASSBOOK) JUST WRITE ONE COVERING LETTER NO NEED OF NOTARY ON THAT

hi i m denis
am from ahmedabad but now residing in london. got a question for everyone. i had applied under skilled workers in 2005 as a chef and had been asked for my original docs last year. they kept those originals with them for almost a year and finally i had to ask them to return them back to me , which they did.,
but i m wondering as to how much more time will it take for us who have applied under old system,
coz this wait is just too long

Dear Denis,

As per old rules of federal skilled worker, it takes 61 months i.e total 5 years approximately.. as u applied in the year 2005, it should be on the way..u dont have any option except waiting..

Yes most of the answer would solve my purpose except couple of answers

1. as you have mentioned that we need to have two set of all the documents, do u mean we need to send both of them to CIO, one is for CIO and another is for Visa Specific office.? or one is for our personal purpose and other to send

If we have to send only one set of documents, Do i need to keep CIO specific and Visa specific office documents in separate envelope and then need to keep both envelope in main big envelope.

Kindly clearify,

2. What if we get police certificate from Passport office, is there anything wrong in that , also when should we go for PCC?

Dear Bhavik,

1st u need to send all relevant forms with docs and visa fees to CIO as per new policies implemented from 26 june 2010 (previously cio required only forms with fees)

after 2 months you will get AOR (i.e acknowledgement of receipt) via email frm CIO. then u will be directed to ur specific high commission (New delhi) and then within 120 days (4months) u need to send all docs again which u sent to cio and forms which u filled and AOR to new delhi high commission. then they wil proceed further.

In short CIO just see whether u are eligible or not and ND high comm verify all your details of docs.

Regarding ur querry releted to PCC. passport office issues pcc and commissioner office issues PVC (police verification certy) both are same. there is no harm to take frm either authority but if u apply to regional passport, they will send ur inquiry to commissioner office only. better to apply to commi office.
it will not take more than 15 days.
