I am thinking to go for IELTS again as I am pretty sure I can Get up to CLB 10 level easily and hence increase my score from 133 to 136.
But even that would take me to 449.
I think it's safe to be in 450's, hence I will go for French. Although it may take me three months to reach a2 level to get 4 points ( 1 in each module ). I must confess, I don't know much about the French exam yet. I have to look into it more.
Did you also use second language results?
Hey, I'm at 446 too. Of course recreating your profile and showing interest in "all provinces" is one way to get a PN and eventually an ITA. The other way is to increase your scores in language - IELTS.
Now coming to your question of French language - yes, this is the best way to increase your scores to a level where you will surely get an ITA. For this, you will have to take an exam called as TEF. This is an evaluation exam which tests your French language ability from A1 level to C2 level. Don't be scared! As I told you it's an evaluation test so it has questions at all levels , it is up to your preparation how much you can attempt and how much you can score. Talking of scores - it's something you must keep in mind-
Maximum CRS points attainable - 20
If you score < 50 % in even 1 of the 4 modules you get 0 marks.
Minimum you score is 12 CRS points if your score is >= 50% in each of the 4 modules
Which means if you score at least 50% marks in each module in TEF , your score jumps to at least 458 points (446+12) - not a bad position to be in at all!!
But, TEF is not a level based exam and it surely will take at least preparation till B1/B2 level to get something out of it.
I started preparation for TEF 2 weeks back and suggest you should also go for it instead of just recreating and sitting on your application.
All the best!
