Ice Cube & Await,

Thanks much for the update. Actually I have no idea about FSW1/FSW2/FSW3. I just selected FSW3 in my profile. I too have submitted my application directly to Colombo VO only. I mean initially applied to CIO then 2nd stage docs to Colombo.

Can someone pls classify FSW1,2&3?

Thanks,
Aran

Yes your spot on.

FSW3 is as follows,

For students or workers who are legally residing in Canada, and have done so for at least 12 months immediately before submitting their application.

Note FSW3 doesn't exist anymore.

Hi,
You have probably applied under FSW1, that is, when your occupation is one of 38 jobs.
FSW2 is when you apply with a permanent job offer from canadian employer. According to PMM, FSW3 doesnt exist any longer. I have no idea about it. Have you applied through an immigration consultant?

hi,
Guys, have look at these links, they may be helpful when you want to look for a job. Infact, they are the official job banks in Canada. Try searching prospective jobs depending on your preferred locations.

http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/sc/jobs/jobbank.shtml

It would be a good idea to have your resume updated to canadian resume version together with a short cover letter. Service Canada once helped me getting a job about three years ago. Hope this would help you guys in someway.

Welcome aboard sagara!

Hi,
I didnt know that the immigration section in colombo is now open to public from 11.30 am. the web says that it is open from 8.am. If you guys plan to visit the immigration section for any matter, it is good idea to call them and confirm the opening hour to public. the Hours are always changed without prior notice. By the way, the lady at the reception was quite professional than i expected. i felt like giving her a candy next time i see her with my passport for stamping.
