I have a Canadian born daughter as well. You should list your child as non accompanying dependent and state the reason as he's being a Canadian born citizen. Attached his birth certificate with your application.

Thanks a lot.

one more question please: as I understand that Canadian child does not require any medical test or any fee to pay. just for confirmation please.

I included my Canadian son into the application. The system asked for his passport and Birth certificate, nothing else. In the PR application there will be a question if s/he is a Canadian citizen and that's it. I would recommend to include him/her. It's good to show that you have a little Canadian, it might help your background check as well. Or if anything goes wrong officers might be a little more helpful. It's all theory, but in fact, your kid is accompanying you.

we are already in Canada. So if I include my child do I need to pay any fee or medical as we are done with other family member's medical test

Your child doesn't need medical exam. There might be $150 application fee that most likely will be refunded. Nothing else. I'm inland applicant too...

Did you pay the fee, I am not worried about 150 CAD but want to follow best path

Surprisingly the system asked for the fee. I was told it was a mistake, and my GCMS notes show a note of a refund that I haven't received yet. Whatever amount comes up at the end of the application you need to pay it in order to submit the application.

I think there is no right or wrong way in this case... I was suggested including my son just being 100 percent sure about his citizenship and because the above mentioned reasons. The system is designed for handling Canadian dependents. I think it's not a coincidence. Probably it's more interesting when someone is not CEC applicant and has to show proof of funds, because Canadian children also count there,

I also have a Canadian child, and I've included her information as a non-accompanying dependent. Since I haven't submitted my eAPR yet, I don't know if I'll be asked to pay fees for her, but I'll be very surprised if I do. Good to know there are refunds down the line just in case.

My point is Proof of Funds requirement for non CEC applicants. Those who have Canadian children need to include them as accompanying dependents in order to provide the correct amount of Proof of Funds. Probably that's why the system has the option to include Canadian dependents.

Oh, okay. That makes more sense. Luckily I'm applying under CEC, so I don't need to show POF (though I don't know if I need a LOE to that effect when I upload documents). Thanks for the clarification! :)

Nope, none required. We do need to upload a LOE explaining we were invited under CEC. Here's the link from CIC:
