Applicant thinks a baby will help his chances

I totally agree with the others, as, I'm sure do you if you re-read through your post. Though I can understand the slim chance that someone else may be able to give a glimmer of hope for her, hence your posting.

I might be out of line however it does come across as though this may be a 'planned' pregnancy / divorce etc etc with your friend being part of it - just to get her guy into the country. Then when he is - he divorces the other woman and remarries your buddy.

The only reason I say this is because why on earth would she want a low life like that in the same country as her after he buggered off and got someone else pregnant.

Lastly, in support of the run far, run fast statement - could I add that she maybe slapped him over the head with a trash can lid before she does.

He got tired of waiting and had an affair with another Canadian woman, who is now pregnant; the pregnancy was planned. He thinks if he gets divorced and marries this new woman, he will easily get his PR visa because of the baby.


What do you think? Does he still have a chance to be accepted? Is there any advice I can give my friend?

Canadianwoman, I think you already answered your own question here. What a selfish piece of trash this person is. Why on earth would the first woman care what happens with his PR application? She's already wasted a great deal of her time on someone who will push his grandmother off a cliff if it means he can get into Canada, I presume. It's too bad that baby will have a sperm donor of a father like that and one day he will learn that the only reason his father made him was to get into Canada. Shame.

I think he has no chance of getting a PR visa now (and his chances weren't very good before, IMO), because he has now committed what looks like 3 cases of immigration fraud: the first marriage now appears to be fake, he admittedly had a fake passport, and now it looks like he wants a baby just to get into Canada.

Doubtful. Canadianwoman is one of the most knowledgeable people on this forum. Now you may counter that knowledge and good sense are two different things, but I strongly believe that knowing all she knows about immigration from being on this forum and her own personal experiences off of it, she would not permit herself to be put into a situation like that. Plus, from following what she has had to say, I seriously doubt this is her husband, who has been with her since 2001. A scammer is patient but not that patient. He would have moved on to another woman in another country a long time ago. Moreover, canadianwoman has posted in the past that she had an unsuccessful appeal of her husband's decision. I'm assuming she's living in a third country with her husband now. She states that in this case, the file is still in process and no final decision has been reached yet. Obviously not her circumstances. She has never mentioned that her husband had criminal complications to his file, just that Accra (which has it's share of racists, one must consider) deemed the relationship not convincing enough for their discriminating tastes. And it shouldn't be surprising she has a friend who is married to a Nigerian - she probably has several given her relationship to that country.

Canadianwoman, I have an uncomfortable feeling that this friend is actually you. I'm sorry that you are going through this, but sadly this is not a man worth having. Its time for a divorce. Good luck.

Does he really deserve to be in Canada?

He has ruined lives of so many women. What about the unborn baby? Suppose this man gets into Canada, he might desert this woman also and move on to a more "profitable" relationship.

I would be surprised if he got one at all but the sponsor technically has until the moment he lands to cancel the sponsorship although doing it before the visa was awarded would be preferable. She should do it ASAP and get on with her life.
