Hello forum members!

Special thanks to regular active members who remained active and supportive during this tense time of processing.
NOT TO FORGET BABBU<SYRUST<JAGGY<Princeroi (Forgive if i forget other names as i m in quite emotional mood rite nw)

Here i share my landing experience today.

I am in Canada since Sep2009, so I choose nearest port to my city which is Niagara Rainbow Bridge.

I took early bus from yonge and finch "safeway tours" and reached niagara at 10:30am
> walked across the falls and reached the pedestrian crossing for US gate.
> put 50cents and cross the gate, walk 5 steps and took a U-turn back to entry door.
> Went to window and asked officer I am here for landing today, he took my passport and issued a yello slip and showed other door (2mins max)
> walked across the street and reach the building where landing is done
> waited for 5 mintues (though whole place was deserted by officer was kind of logging in to system may be he just joined his shift)
> he took my and my wife passport asked us to sign COPR and be seated for few minutes
> call us again in 5 mintues asked if we have proof of funds, we showed our banks statement
> after 5 minutes he called us again, handed our passport and COPR copy, congratulated and advised that we will receive our PR card in 6-8weeks and need to visit service ontario to get SIN card updated.

Total procedure 15-25 minutes...

I am now sitting in my apartment with tandoori and Beer, cant explain in words how my world is changed during last three years and how I spend these stressful months of my life.

Cheers to all and simple advise always stay happy what has to happen will happen within due course.

Thanks Jittu for sharing your experiences.

I have couple of questions,

1. Do we need to show proof of funds. If yes, how much we need to show and how many months statement is required.
2. Also do we need to show job offer letter, etc.

As we are FSW-2 candidates it is not mandatory to show proof of funds but I still carried it alongwith me to reduce hassles. I took just latest month statement which was a online printout and showed just the current balance.

I was scared that they might ask for latest paystub etc as I read it on online reviews at some places but they didnt bother to ask for it at all, so with latest reviews of immigrants I can say landing at rainbow bridge take just 15 minutes and they dont ask for anything except POF>
but yes if you have everything don't hesitate to carry along with you.

hope information is beneficial for you.

take care

No I havent changed the employer officially, but yes I stopped working with him but I guess as employer hasn't informed Service Canada so my LMO was valid and PR is processed so fast that nobody actually got time to update things.

My employer was though ready to help me with job if CIC need me to provide pay stub or any proof.

Here start another week of wait.
First navratri now Diwali and hope will get our PP back before this Christmas.
This phase is very difficult to pass.
As everything now is attached with Maple leaf on PP.
Nothing can be planned without that.
Even going to job and concentrate on working is also difficult as
somewhere in mind we accept that we are going to Canada. and even
cannot leave the job without maple leaf.

So everything just stopped without this last step

I know everybody who got DM must has passed through this phase so
they must be able to understand my feelings.

Hi friends,

I have completed re-medicals on 16th October 2012 & the passports were also received at NDVO on 24th October 2012.

When should I expect my passports back with visa?

Ecas shows In Process

Please reply
