Folks, need some clarification regarding POF to be carried when landing in Canada for first time. As I am going alone and my family will not be accompanying me as they will be sponsored under family class, do I need to carry POF for a family of 4 or just for 1 person. When I recd medicals, CIC had asked for medicals for all family members and also asked to submit POF for family of 4 i.e. 20600 $.

Also I will be taking along my laptop, a watch & a mobile. What will be thr formailities required to declare them.

Expert advice needed.

Even though you will be completing landing formalities alone, you need to show POF for all your members....


(Via Qorax Sir)Camera, Laptop - YES. Basically anything that is worth over $200-300 is better listed. Rest -- Not Required.

then you need not wait for postman......wait for the MR email from NDVO......you won't receive it though post if you are in India

As per NDVO trend for MI3 applicants.......within 40 days of processing start date........if your processing start date is 26 Aug, then you should get MR within 40-45 days timeframe, which is 10 Oct. This are my views and can be wrong also....All the wishes and hope we get MR without hassles

after DM and Canadian address updated in ecas......15 days max, if you are in India(don't know for Nepal)

r u kidding.......I have not even got my MR till now, hence no way my process can be completed before you(that is even if all goes well with my appln)
