We raised webform to inform IRCC. After 2 weeks name has been corrected in gckey account
My wife will be submitting a passport with same Ready for visa email on Monday at vfs
Did you get it corrected?

After GC key update did you send the mistaken PPR letter with passport or IRCC issued new PPR letter?

Hi. For this, we got the correct name on the passport stamp and we had no problem at the airport at all. We submitted our application at VFS Chandigarh by hand. Alongwith that, we submitted a letter describing the issue. Before submission, we raised a web form indicating the problem and also wrote a letter to Delhi immigration( it was delhi immigration which issued PPR in our case).

How do you know that Delhi immigration had issued a letter? & how did you write them a letter did you send it in courier? What’s the address?

I have a concern about spelling mistake on main applicants father's name. i applied SOWP on last week( 18 June, 2024) by myself but i did a spelling mistake in my father's name ( given name ) for example, i wrote my father's name PARAGBBHAI instead of PARAGBHAI, there is an only one word Extra which is "B". Even i got a biometric letter with wrong spelling, so could you please tell me what should i do next? even i raised web form too but i did get any response from ircc.
is VFS office have a right to correct a name ? can i give biometric with this wrong spelling BIL or is there any big problems?
how can i wrote a letter to Delhi immigration and how can i send them this letter ?

Did you receive any reply for webform? If you are in canada you can call them. Email VFS for the issue and ask their opinion.

I didn't get any response of webf form by ircc.
I call them twice but they can't change anything by call. They say you have to raise a Web form and you have to wait for Web form reply from ircc officer.
Even i have no idea what can we do next.

I sent webform on 20th June but didn’t receive any reply from IRCC & only 30 days to send passport for visa stamping.

Here’s What I did & encourage others to do;

I raised webform everyday, waited for 15 days to hear from IRCC but no response. n 16th day of deadline of passport submission, I finally booked an in person appointment of VFS, explained situation there & sent following docs at my own risk;

- Passport Request Letter
- Passport
- Letter of explanation
- Webform printout
- Same name affidavit
- Submitted application summary page that showing correct name during application submission.

After two weeks name got corrected on portal & in meantime got reply of webform that issue was resolved & finally got right stamp on passport.

Don’t wait for IRCC webform reply, thay won’t issue new passport request letter. Just sent with all evidence you have before submission deadline. Hope this will help.

Subject: Letter of Explanation – Name Error by IRCC
Dear Officer,
I am writing this letter to explain my concern regarding “a name mistake on passport request letter” for
my super visa application. Application was submitted on 2024/05/28. Passport request letter was
received on 2024/06/20, with mistake of Given Name, even though name is correct on application
summary and in the application submission acknowledgment letter "IMM5739 E (02-2021) GCMS".
IRCC mistakenly put maiden name “Wrong name” on the passport request letter
instead of given name & surname provided with application as per passport (passport number) stated below;
Given name / First name:
Surname / Last name :
Several webforms have been sent on the same day and after passport request letter was issued. There
has been no response from IRCC on this concern. I am uncertain if a new passport request letter will be
issued.
Due to the information on IRCC website stating that “webform response will not be received from IRCC
if application is within normal processing time” and “failure to submit the passport within 30 days of
passport request letter will result in application refusal”, I am left with no choice but to send the
passport with following documents:
• Passport request letter, Letter of explanation, Application acknowledgement letter, Webform
confirmation, pages of submitted application summary stating my name, and other relevant
documents.
I am uncertain if visa application center (VFS Global India) will send above documents along with
passport request letter. If not, please review the same on file.
Please let me know should you require any additional information. Additionally, please advise on further
steps if IRCC will issue a new letter while this is being processed, as the new letter will have its own 30
days of time limit.
