Dear All:

I will receive my ECA tomorrow, Is it OK for me to send my package out tomorrow? Will the government return my package since it will arrive around 2nd on January in 2015? Thank you so much for your help!

The chance is almost zero. But you can try it.

Probably you can email sydney and explain the situation. You will have enough time before they open your application package.

You can only try it before knowing if there is a chance or not. go ahead and send it.

My Job description letter for RA is given by our department, it is a general letter from the department, from student to student, they change only name nothing else.

Problem is given description in the letter is same as HRDC-NOC 4012

But, for TA, I got letter from coordinator, and it was similar to the HRDC website but not same

What do u guys think? Thanks in advance....

If you submit a letter verbatim from NOC 4012, the officer is likely to question the genuinety of your letter (as stated in the document Overseas Processing 6C).

hmm that was my concern too...

When it comes to the question, if it is genuine or not, I have a letter from HR dept, u Alberta confirming number of hours and pay by year to year (not just written by prof), I also included T4, T4a s and My TA letter is not exact same as HRDC

Also, the dept gave me job description letter on official letter head..... But this is the only letter that can be obtained from
department, apparently the dept is not allowed to change or alter the letter as per the instructions of Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research....

I think two lines from HRSDC webpage are written exactly with an additional line by the department

I am a bit relaxed after seeing extra line under duties....

Anyways.... recently CIC court gave a judgement stating that exact match of job description with HRDC webpage should not be a reason for rejection and accepted appeal of an applicant.... hopefully I dont have to go to the stage where I need to appeal...

Thanks for ur reply

Applicant from PhD program after 5 Nov, 2011 connect here to get status

An applicant who appears to have "copied" the job duties in the NOC description for his reference letter still deserves an opportunity to explain that issue.

I read this court case. The court states that letters with verbatim wordings from NOC were of concern but it was not a reason to reject an application. An officer may request additional information to verify the truthfulness of the letter. Still, I would suggest to be careful when sending a letter with verbatim wordings.

So thanks to a great service from Canada Post, my application won't be delivered before tomorrow (January 1st). I mailed it last Tuesday (the 23rd) and it has been processed in Halifax this morning 02:30am. Does anybody know if they will still accept my application a day or two after the deadline? And has anybody ever sued the Canada Post?

Hi Guys,
Does CPP-Ottawa send AOR? After how many days of receiving PER, visa office sends AOR? What is the first step officer does when he/she opens file?

Thank you.

Hi,

Is the CC charged before first mail contact from CIC? I'm away from home but I know that I received mail from immigration and I'm now worried that my CC hasn't been charged :(

If my application (sent around the end of October) was rejected, is that the end for me or do I get to send a fixed application (sort of as a second chance even though the deadline is over)?

Thanks
