Completely agree! I think they will wait strictly 60 days to revise all requested documents (medicals, PCC, etc) and then start asking for PPR to all May, June and maybe July applicants. We should expect a PPR email in early 2015.

At least I can I say that there are some periods, which they ask for PPR and issuing visa. I remember I checked a forum where many provincial nominee applicants were there. Their applications were all "decision made" and they were waiting for PPR. They got "decision made" on late June, July and early August 2014. Specially late June applicants were really frustrated. However, all of them got PPR on September 24th and 25th at the same time.
It seems to me that they do not ask for PPR when your security or medical is done. There is certain time (which they decide) to ask for PPR.

I agree Pepe. The chance is so small to get PPR on 2014. We should expect in on early 2015.

Uff. i will be on a trip to my home country in early January until Feb. I will not be able to send passport if I get PPR after Dec 15

Hey guys,

I finally have all the documents I need from everywhere except the work experience letter. I have drafted it and will get my supervisor to use that as a base to write me one. Also from the department. Is it possible to get some feedback on it without posting it publicly ? I am applying using RA and TA work experience.

I got one letter from department showed the status in uni, starting date, my supervisor name, my total funds and i am working as RA and TA and general description of duties, second letter i got from my prof mentioned my working hours per week, details of duties according to noc code, 3rd letter i got from school of graduate studies mentioned about my TA hours and salary i received again those hours, I added last couple of salary slips, and T4 and T4A

Many thanks for all these details. I have attached all the appointment forms I could find, and all the T4s and T4As. I am worried about the exact wordings of the letter because I have been rejected once due to my work experience as a RA not being accepted ( perhaps due to the missing "Assist" keyword ).

They will give you 60 days to send your passport. This time is also negotiable and you may extend it.

Seems like the NOC 4012 page was very recently modified. They removed some of the details for RAs from what I can remember.

That was a good idea observation. I'm not sure but apparently enrolement is not a requirement.

Actually enrolment is a requirement : "Enrolment in a university or college program is required."

I think the following is a new line along with removal of some of the explicit duties for RAs.

"Post-secondary teaching and research assistants specialize in a subject matter based on their field of study.
Employment requirements"

Perhaps they will judge on the basis of how well what you have specified in your work experience letter matches with your field of study ( if this line was not present before ).

Hi all, I am expecting to receive a reference letter from my former employer in my home country and I am wondering if they need to mention the NOC code for the job I was doing there? In general, do you mention NOC codes in letters?

Also, does it make sense to submit a couple of reference letters for very different professions, or is it better to stick to those that are more or less related.

Finally, is it possible to apply for a professions such as "university teacher" (can't find the NOC code though) without a work experience in that position.

FYI, nothing has changed. I've checked with my previously saved CIC pages. And the total NOC description is exactly the same as it was more than a year ago when I applied.
