Hi Salam

I am applying under the Ph D stream in a couple of days. I have a couple of questions which wasn't clear to me.

1. Where do I apply my VISA Office for processign since the buffalo office is closed. I am applying from Ottawa. But I am not sure which visa office should I select.

2. Do we need to attach the TA/RA experience letters or T4A forms from university is good enough for TA and how to show RA ..?

Do not provide T4A forms. They may bring up the fact that you do not pay tax and this can not be considered as job.
Instead ask your supervisor to write a letter for you. with number of hours and salary and what ever they need.

You can choose either CPP-Ottawa or your home country.

Hi, could anyone tell me if your UCI assigned in your PER email is the same as the client ID of your study or work permit? It is different for my case. Is this normal? Btw, how do you contact CIC? I tried to send email to Centralized-Intake-Office <Centralized-Intake-Office @ cic.gc.ca> and FSW-Centralized_Intake-Office @ cic.gc.ca. But my emails were rejected by both of those. Thanks guys in advance.

No, this can't be different. I never heard UCI is different than whatever we got in our work/study permit. Inform this to CIC immediately.

Thanks so much for your information. Which email address would you recommend? I tried question @ cic.ca and OttPilot-Immigration @ cic . gc . ca thanks to the help @ asbereth, but didn't get response yet. Yes, this is very abnormal. But I found very few similar cases saying "to RobertLA: Hey guys,
Sent a fax to Ottawa CPP and they replied back to my email saying that the Client ID# and UCI have been merged into one file and the new UCI is what I should use.
In case anybody else has that problem. THanks! G"

Sorry I guess my progress is still behind yours. I just got my per recently. So, can't provide any helpful suggestion. If I were you, I would try to email them. Good luck, anyway. BTW, which email address did CIC use to contact you. Thanks.

Amazingly, I just got confirmation from cic. my old client id on study permit is no longer active. If someone else has similar issue, it may be helpful for them.

Yes, think what is better for you based on the processing time and the quality of the mail or post services at your home country.

2- Yes, please provide all the experience letters that you can check with the HR services at your univ. include all appointment letters. Make sure you meet the required experience and points.

I am behind!! I have not received my PER yet! They just ask to send them another letter of employment from the university. That is whay I asked you if it is better to ask them whether they recibved my document ot not!
They use this email address: Centralized-Intake-Office@cic.gc.ca
