Of course, you can always try to appeal (several members here were able to overturn the decisions) on the basis that the letter has implicitly mentioned that you have been assisting your supervisor and course instructors in their research and teaching activities, and that your job descriptions match substantially what the website has.

My suggestion for you is obviously try to appeal the decision (since you have some grounds, minimal they may be), and at the same time, prepare a new application.
Can you please share the names of those individuals who were able to overturn the decision by appealing, so I can get some advice from them?

Thanks a lot.

Actually, I have updated my ref. letter 3 months ago. I carefully tried to follow all the tips you provided on this form and my letter includes the leading statement "assist".

I am not sure, if I can claim that my letter is matching the NOC 4012 main duties. do they accept this kind of appeals?
Maybe they did not see your updated letter. Re send it by email as soon as possible before receiving the rejection email. Maybe it is too late but at least try this. Their email has changed. It is now: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

I have order GCMS notes on Feb. In those notes it is mentioned that they received an update for my ref. letter.

I do not know, may be there is another reason for rejection.

If your ref. lett. is OK, then the only other reason can be points less than 67. How many points did Sydney give you?

They gave me 67, but it should be 70.
If there is a mistake in calculating the points, can I claim that mistake and ask for reassessment?

Yes. if it is a mistake, you can send an email and explain their mistake. Does this 67 points include the adaptability points for previous study in canada? Because Sydney gives you those points, but Ottawa removes it.

You can look for names with **** next to them. I remember aidina and beh467 on the top of my head, but there could be more. Appeals have usually been unsuccessful though, so keep in mind to also prepare a fresh new application to make it within the 500 application cap this year.

I got just 4 points adaptability for my wife education. In Sydney they gave me 22 points for the my education while it should be 25 as I have more than 17 years education.

So, probably this is the case. Prepare as much as evidences you can regarding your wife and your education just in case. Did you receive any Doc request?

NO, I just sent the funding letter from my university with the amount of 20,000$ annually and letter for the bank with around 7000 $ (but that was not for 6 month).

But if this is the problem, they should ask for proof of fund before making a decision, right?

The fund assessment is a part of eligibility assessment and your funds were below the limit. They ask proof of funds to make sure that you still have that amount in your account. But in your case, you did not have that amount at the beginning.

If this is the case, can I update my proof of fund. I have the limit now in my bank account stable for the last 6 months.

When did you submit your application?
