Hi everyone,

Can you please tell me if we need to submit pay stubs with my application...or are t4s usually enough?

Thank you
No, you don't have to include your pay stubs or even your t4s in your application. I didn't include any of them and they never asked. But its good to include them in your app if you have them in your hand for further support. It doesn't hurt.

I am going to resubmit a new application package and prepared a letter. Would you please let me know your idea about it?

To whom it may concern:
This letter is to verify that Mr. X is registered as a full-time PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at University of X, and since September 1st 2011, as a post-secondary teaching and research assistant, he has assisted university professors and other faculty members in teaching and research activities.

As a Research Assistant, Mr. X has worked 25 hours per week from September 1st 2011 to December 31st 2013 and assisted Professor X and myself (his PhD co-supervisors) in research activities. As a research assistant, he has received $X per year from September 1st 2011 to September 1st 2013 and $X per year from September 1st 2013 to December 31st 2013.

The duties of Mr. X as a Research Assistant were as follows:

• Conducting literature reviews, surveys, laboratory experiments and other research for use in scholarly publications
• Compiling research results and assisting professors in the analysis of results
• Planning and conducting scientific research in the area of X
• Assisting the professors in preparation of journal articles and papers

Also, from September 1st 2011 to December 31st 2013, Mr. X was employed by the university as a Post-secondary Teaching Assistant, and he has worked 40-120 hours per semester for a total of 523 hours. He received $23.27 per hour for his teaching assistant duties for totals of $2,792 from September 1st 2011 to September 1st 2012, $6,516 from September 1st 2012 to September 1st 2013, and $2850 from September 1st 2013 to December 31st 2013.

As a Teaching Assistant, Mr. X assisted Professors X, Y, and Z in teaching undergraduate courses (CSC115, CSC361, and CSC370). The main duties of Mr. X as a Teaching Assistant were as follows:

• Organize reference materials, visual aids and other materials as required by university professors for lectures
• Conduct seminars, discussion groups and laboratory sessions to supplement lectures
• Assisting professors in administering examinations in undergraduate courses
• Grading midterm and final examinations, laboratory reports, and assignments
• Help students work through lab experiments or projects

If you require any further information, please contact me at phone number (X) or E-mail (X).
Sincerely,
X, Professor Emeritus
Department of Computer Science, University of X

It has the Magic word "assist" :). Just one thing, for the TA I don't think you have to put your earning during each semester, so remove "for totals of $2,792 from September 1st 2011 to September 1st 2012, $6,516 from September 1st 2012 to September 1st 2013, and $2850 from September 1st 2013 to December 31st 2013." Put the total hours worked and the duration without any details as it seems not continuous work. you can provide them with the T4 if they ask about any details.
Thanks

I received my GCMS notes today and would like to share the same with the forum

File was reviewed by FA on the 22nd of November which happens to be the same day the RPRF request was generated by GG. Eligibility and Criminality passed the same day (surprisingly the police certificate was more than a year old !!).

Final Assessment Points: 77 (Coincidentally CIO awarded me 77 points more than a year back and that was revised by SL to 56 later)
Work Experience: 21 (4 years)
Adaptability: 5 (Canadian Masters)
Age:10
Education:25
Language:16

Most importantly FA put in this note:

I have assessed the application based on information contained in the file, documents submitted and analysis below. PA submitted a new letter of reference from XXXX which indicates he has 3 years of experience and meets R75(2) and R80(3). Proof of funds seen. I am satisfied PA has sufficient funds.

Note the highlighted portions. This means that the updated letters have to be as consistent as possible with the previous one(s) as regards work hrs, compensation and in case we are adding duties it might be worthwile to submit proof that we actually performed those duties (I gave copies of my CV, Publications, Conference proceedings and posters too). It is a substantive and comprehensive evaluation so evidence does matter.

Bottomline: Reference letters must make sense and be consistent

Technically you could. It would not hurt to update the schedule 3 form as well (just the way Stuck in Quebec did).

Congrat. You got your medical request very soon, however, your security took 6 month as other Iranians.

Hello folks,

It has been months in my case. And to this date I still can't log in to eCAS since they made the upgrade to the site.

Thanks,
Did you call CIC to fix such issue
Best
No. As long as there is an ongoing correspondence between CIC and me, I thought it doesn't really matter much. Usually the only time the system would be updated is after they receive your medical results. But you can probably use whatever contact information they provide on the Web site to explain the problem. Most likely that won't be CIC itself but someone who is responsible for maintaining the site.

Two questions:

1-I have got a TA letter from HRIS that list the duties. This letter doesn't say anything about RA. Do you think I should send this letter in my application package? (I have another letter from my supervisor with details about both TA and RA)

2-If I send my package and they receive it during the holidays (Dec 25-Jan 1) is it ok? somebody is there to receive it?
