Guys, how long did it take for you to see the " Medical test results received" line in you E-cas after you underwent your e-medical?
I saw the third and the fourth lines at the same time, April 15 00:01 AM (or midnight). I did my medical on March 26, so it was only a little less than three weeks. My medical was approved (according to my GCMS notes) on April 12.
Despite the week that I did my medical being an Easter weekend, it still took my doctor less than a week to complete the report and send it to Ottawa (electronically of course). anjuku also went to the same doctor, and she got her medical approved really fast as well (18 days from MR to PPR)
Dr. Daniel Garrett of Kitchener apparently is super efficient ;D

My point is: in none of the other PR streams are people seeing these kind of mysterious and unfair rejections and picky officers that don't accept the wordings of a letter... Never have I seen other people desperately manufacture the wording of their letters so many times while keeping the same content. In other streams, as long as your documents are nice and complete, you just have to wait a certain amount of time to get your application through. In our stream however, you need to pray and keep your fingers crossed to be lucky and don't get one of those weird unpredictable rejections! That's why people in this stream aren't necessarily anxious about their application right until they get rejected and then they come and find our forum!
Thanks again everyone for contributing to this forum
And Happy Ramadan to everyone who is fasting this month
A lot of people actually did get rejected due to the same reasons. Some members here applied using work experience from their home countries, and they were rejected for not matching the lead statement and main duties as well. If you visit some other forums, you'll notice that rejections due to job description mismatch are actually pretty common.
Obviously none of the applicants from other streams reverse-engineer better than the PhD stream applicants, thus, they never really came up with the conclusion that officers must consider updated reference letters sent between the date of application submission and the date of assessment (which was stated in OP6B). But then again, the reason why updated reference letters are much more readily available for us is because most of us are currently still students, and can easily request modified letters
If you worked for some company some 5 or 6 years ago, it wouldn't be as simple to get updated letters of reference.
Anyway, happy Ramadhan and stay healthy for those who are fasting. I hope you guys are coping well with the never-ending daylight of Canadian summer
