There was no document requested from CPP and he was rejected at that stage. However, the CIO (Sydney) gave him positive determination before that. He applied in the PhD stream under FSW class. He claimed the adaptability points and based on that, he was given the adaptability point. I think he got 65 from CPP. I don't think it is possible to paste the refusal letter here.PyramidCity said:Do you mind answering some of my questions, cos it is also my concern.
Was he rejected before receiving doc request? Did he apply under the phd stream? Did he claim the adaptability points when applying? How did he know he got the points from CIO? How many points did he get according to Ottawa's evaluation? Is it possible to let us know the wording in the refusal letter?
Thanks
Thanks a lot, but it seems his case was quite unique.Ehsan_Ehsan said:There was no document requested from CPP and he was rejected at that stage. I think we have seen this kind of things before. People that got adaptability points after CIO and then got rejected on CPP. It seems to be the case, my university even sent e-mails asking people relying on those points not to apply.Ehsan_Ehsan said:There was no document requested from CPP and he was rejected at that stage. I think what we've seen is quite the opposite. Besides Ehsan_Ehsan's friend, I don't think we've seen cases where Sydney granted the 5 points, but Ottawa did not. People that have gotten rejected due to lack of previous study adaptability points were never granted the 5 points from Sydney to begin with (like Dani1982). We know that, MapleDream, for example, had the 5 points even for Ottawa (though he was rejected due to work experience).TyrusX said:I think we have seen this kind of things before. You are right. But as utopie case has shown, eligibility can go on until the last moment. utopie just said a few posts ago that she got rejected after medical for being short in worked hours in her first application (CEC).asbereth said:I think what we've seen is quite the opposite. Likewise, immc had recently got document request from Ottawa, and he also had to rely on these 5 points to get above 67 points (since he initially got NER from Sydney, then appealed). By the time you received documentation request, I postulate that they are already done with your eligibility review, and can't find any fault with it, which was why they decided to continue the processing. Otherwise, rejection usually comes before any sort of documentations are even requested.
Ya, her case was obviously a testament that anything can happen to very last minute. But at least based on what we've seen so far of our stream, the eligibility (by Ottawa) seems to be done before any documentations are requested. Rejections due to not having enough points happened before they got any requests for further documentation. Some people got rejected after document request, but not because of not having enough points.TyrusX said:You are right. Certified of course.New13 said:Hi,
A quick question regarding the document in foreign language. Do I need to submit (with PR application) a certified translation or normal translation will work?
Thanks.
I think it's fine. Usually people have that second line on their online status right after they receive their medical requests. It probably just means that they're happy with your bank statement (can you elaborate what you sent them?), and ready for further processing. Not sure why you can't access it any more though.BakerMan said:Hi everybody.
I have sent my application on PhD stream on December 2011. On January 4th I was asked for Bank Statement.
From ECAS, I found a new line of " We started processing your application". My Ecas is not accessible any more.
Do you guys have any idea what it means ? Any idea would be appreciated.
Thanks Asbereth. I sent 6 months bank activity. I had 11000 for almost 5 months. My status changed almost few days ago.asbereth said:I think it's fine.
