Yep, I noticed that the first applicants spent around 60 days to get cc charged.

Now we are experiencing the same situation maybe?
I think the situation varies. Our packet arrived at CIO on 4 July, and CC charged on 26 July and got
PER four days later. I think different officers handle the case differently.

Guys I need your opinion:

I have had to move house and I just recently resent my application for PR as we all know. How do I inform them of my new address?

I checked their website and it says the only way you can change the address ONLINE is if you have been assigned a kind of ID and as I just sent my application I do not have such;

Option 2 is to call helpline to change my address but for the last 3 days I have been trying the helpline without any success. And their website also says address changes can not be done through email.

My concern is that my first attempt on the PR application was returned unprocessed and if the current one suffers the same fate, then they will return it to the old address while I will just sit like a duck waiting for PER thru email!
My last flatmates are not the most tolerant people on earth so i don't really know what to do.

You need to keep calling the helpline till u are able to let them know that u have changed your address, perseverance is required in this case. :D :D :D

Hi ojohn,

Yes, with a small amount of money, you could ask canada post to convert all of your mails to ur new address. Check it out at canada post. I have used this service before, they are pretty good.

Thanks for your information.

Then I think I was delayed by some unforeseen reasons.

Perseverance indeed worked, I got through to the helpline and they were able to change my address. Thank you for all your suggestions.

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone who submitted a letter explaining her or his TA/RA experience can share the body of the letter.

Thanks

Hi folks, I just get informed from CIO saying that, due to the high volume of applications, my application record could not be found in the system. They suggested me to contact them later on so they can do the further search.

However, my courier delivery history clearly showed they received it.

Did anyone experience such situation before?

That sounds like it may have arrived but they havn't opened the envelope yet so you would not be in their system. I wouldn't panic too much.

Thanks for your point, Brit_Immigrant. But why they opened the applications after me? They received my application on June 15th.

That's probably true. I wish they were more transparent in their work. They could post all the information they have internally on e-cas, so we could immediately know what its happening.

Is that the Off-campus work permit that permits you to work 20 hours per week or the unlimited open work permit?
Not the off-campus one (which I already ahd) but the regular work permit. I got an offer for a senior lecturer position since I am really close to being done with my PhD. They got an LMO and I got the permit:not limit to the number of hours
