Congrats RAP_PHD!

Just wondering were you asked for proof of fund or any other documents/proofs before receiving the MR?

Thanks,

Double check if you forgot to attach:(i) ECA report; and (ii) letter sent by WES that u completed ECA....(both originals).....I heard they send back application if you missed one of them......If you have sent them together....u can definitely go after them....Anyway, I don't know how CIC can return application package for any documents we prepared within Canada. They can easily trace and find out the truth.....Anyway good luck my friend....God Bless us....!!!!

My application was rejected and returned to me today with an explanation that Regulation 10 of the IRPR act was not met. Namely, In the appendix they only highlighted that "you do not submit ECA report", I checked my application package again and was like "wow", it's still there, clearly visible. Application was submitted in the middle of November and I also arranged my documents according to the checklist. It's really sad that we are rejected this way because of their mistake. Anyone have any suggestion? How should we appeal for this? Thanks!

For security, CIC might inquire FBI, Interpol, CSIS, etc. It is always blank as it's confidential. I'm not sure what HIRV stands for but I remember asking that a while ago (around Dec. 6th) and someone answered me in this thread. To best that I can remember, it's not a concern.

As for the due date, I assume it's just an internal reminder for the VO. It might get extended if necessary, or your case might be finalized even before that.

HIRV is also another kind of security check. i read it somewhere in this forum but forgot the abbreviation. usually they keep it blank as they don't want to reveal due to safety concerns.

edit- HIRV=Human and International Rights Violation
FYI: HIRV = hazard impact risk vulnerability analysis (refer to Public Safety Canada)

I am not sure, she said they will send me a letter by mail and provide more information about it. As i receive the letter i will let you know.
Interview is done before medical request in all the cases. I know some people got interview for their landing but it is after PPR. I also know that some people got interview request and then, when they called to confirm it, they found out that it was a mistake.

Have you got PER yet? If not, why are they taking so long to send you such email after your CC was charged?

Hi Pepe,

yes, I got it some days back but since I was busy forgot to mention it. It was a long time waiting. But when I looked at all PhD users' cases, I realized that it usually takes 4 months to get PER after. For me it was the same as all of you. I hope I get MR soon (following the trend happend for you ;) ).

Wanna add another thing. I asked my friend who applied in March. He is still waiting for his PPR. Hope you all get your PPR soon.

Very good Viva2014! You should get MR and RPRF requests in a month from the date you got your PER.

I think the queue for PPR is very random. CPC Ottawa placed all files randomly in the queue.

For unknown reasons, the security section is always left in blank. They do not want you to know what's going on there. They check with CBSA if you have become a member of a terrorist organization. They check this very regularly so that's why you never see the update and the results of your security field.

Thank you very much Pepe. I hope the officers assigned for FSW are not decreased in the following weeks when the first round of applicants will be chosen from EE.
