I have a Canadian MSc too and both my Master's supervisor and PhD supervisor wrote me a letter and included 35 hrs per week. They were very careful about the job descriptions as well and the letters both included keyword "assist".formal_verification said:If your professor wrote letter in the specified format it should be fine. Means he explicitly mentioned
number of hours per week, salary and main responsibilities (in the same way they are mentioned in
NOC 4012).
How much experience that you mentioned ? How much points you calculated by yourself ?
In my case I have attached to RA experiences.
However, about a month after I sent my package, I heard from a friend who applied in 2013, that they rejected him because of 35 hrs/week, saying that you cannot be both full time student and work that many hours
but he said he also know someone with basically the same letter same hour who has got his PR. So it works randomly from time to time.
My points based on my calculations are 73
