Thanks! My major concern is that I did not declare a national identity document in my Generic Form when I applied, which is true because I do not have a national identity document from my home country. However, I do have an identity number (which is like the SIN number in Canada), and that number is written in the PCC. Do you think it may confuse the visa officer?

In my opinion, it should not cause any confusion. However, if you feel concerned about this issue, you can definitely mention it in the cover letter.

I think you are totally right, it shouldn't cause any confusion. I was reading the Instruction Guide on how to fill the Generic Form and they ask: Check the appropriate box to indicate if you have a valid identity document

So if my identity document expired two years ago and I can only renew it if I am living in my home country, then I clicked on the right answer which is NO, because the document I may have has expired.

Thank you so much pyzdfr, I am not gonna explain anything. In fact, that number is on my passport page, so if they want to verify something they already have a copy of my passport.

Again, thank you so much!

I write my birth certificate number instead of national certificate number because my ID card was expired. The government announced that all ID are automatically renewed but it does not show on m y ID card. That is why I wrote my birth certificate number instead in the form.
No problem for me yet. I guess they already know about this stuff of aech country.

I agree, if you have a national id card which has expired, you must NOT declare it in the generic form. Also, if renewal of this card requires the applicant to be physically present in their home country but the applicant is studying in Canada, how are we going to renew it?

I think this is not a concern for Visa Officer. Does anyone have any other opinion? Please share your thoughts!

Pepe,

I think put a cover photo inside of the envelope. Do not be worried a lot and don't be picky about the cover photo. Sometimes more explanation makes them confused. So write the cover photo with some general information and pass it.

Good luck

Cover photo? :o OMG what is that? Should I send a photo too?
Thanks!

Lucky you. Some of us did our medicals in October and our status have not been updated. So very unfair.

Dear all,

As my doctor promised, my online status has just been updated with the most wanted third line 3. Medical results have been received.

Now let's wait for PCC which should arrive today to my home address!

Really? OMG, this is very unfair! And crazy!!!

Hi everyone, I have a question about job experience letter.
I already had my department write a letter stating my RA, TA hours and salary. Now I'm asking my prof to write another one and she only agrees to write about my RA job description only, and refuse to write about salary or working hours. Would it be enough if I have only letter from the department or should I include her letter also? As many people got rejected because of unaccepted letter from their profs. Thanks

I did same same I got letter from department describing my funding details, RA and TA when I joined and who is my supervisor, for TA I got additional letter from department of graduate studies describing number of hours I did TA work in each year plus my salary against those hours and to get detailed description of RA duties and responsibilities plus number of hours per week I got letter from my supervisor.

I'm in the game! ;D
My Credit card got charged today (actually the statement came in today it got charged on Thursday). I'd submitted the application package on July 30th, Ph.D. Stream, about 2 years of TA and a year of related industry work. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for the PER ? (I'm guessing its not going to be short).
