Viva2014,

I sent two letters only, one the PhD attestation and the other one it's like an enrollment letter saying when my program started, when it's supposed to be completed, also the classification (Full Time) and the name of the program. I think it should be enough because as long as you meet all requirements for the PhD stream they must give you at least 5 points for adaptability.

I got PER today, but they don't say when is the file supposed to be transferred to CPC Ottawa. Will they send me another email? Any idea when the file is going to be transferred?

Thanks a lot! :)

Guys, I need your idea about this.

For 2 years of Phd study, I sent 3 letters with my application: 1. attestation letter (according to the template) 2. an additional letter indicating that I have been a full time student during these 2 years 3. an enrollment certificate for this semester. However, the format of enrollment letter is based on the format of "work off campus" letter and it says:

" This is to certify that the above name is registered at university of *** leading to a degree, diploma or certificate that is at least 6 months in duration.
Term: ***2014
Level : PhD in ***
Expected Graduation date: ***2016
.
. "

Does it make any problem in getting 5 points of adaptability for 2 years of PhD study since it should be at least 2 years in duration? In fact, as you can see, the letter dose not say that PhD can be obtained in 6 months and even according to the regulation of our university it can be obtained after at least 3 years of study. However, the university gave me a general letter which it gives to any other students who are not necessarily PhD students.

Hi pepe84,
Welcome to our journey and wish you good luck on it. No, in our time we did not receive any 2nd email regarding Sydney to Ottawa file transfer. But you can assume that they will do it within next few days. So you should contact only CPC-Ottawa from now on. You can consider ordering GCMS notes after a few weeks from now.

Hi Pepe84,

Congrats on PER :) and thank you for your reply.

Actually, it depends. One of my friends got an email from Sydney that they have transferred his application to Ottawa (around 5 months after getting PER). But it is not the case for any applicants and you might not even get that email as bluelotus said. But again, if you look at the tracker you will see that recent applicants, 6 to 7 months after getting PER are getting Medical and RPRF request. It means that they transfer the applications very quick to Ottawa ( I do not know why for my friend it took a long time). Hopefully, you will get good news 6 to 7 months later :)

Guys, what do see you in your online baking when CIC charges your CC? I mean, what are payment details?

Thanks a lot bluelotus. Do you know if they will update my OnLine status with file transferred to Visa Office? I see in the spreadsheet there is a chart which includes (amongst others) file transferred, what is that?

I am just concerned that my consulate takes one month to process applications for police certificates so I want to apply for PCC before requested by a visa officer, but I need to know an approximate time of when they will ask me for PCC. Please share your experience on this.

Best,

Thanks Viva2014, as I replied to Bluelotus, I am just concerned about PCC. My consulate takes one month to process PCC, plus the translation to English it may take another 15 days. When do you think they will ask me for PCC?

PS. I did not submit PCC with my application because my crazy consulate always declares on each PCC issued by them: "Valid for Three Months Only"

Hi all, I wanna update you guys on my journey thus far as I have learnt a lot form this group. I sent my application to Sidney on April 1, 2014. I got a Positive Determination of Eligibility to be Processed Mail from Sydney on April 29, 2014. My file was transferred to Ottawa then I suppose. It was quiet until today, October 6, 2014. I just got a mail asking me to send a police certificate from my Country. I also got a second mail asking me to pay a Right of Permanent Residence Fee. I intend to do both of these. So that's how far I have gone.

In as much as I am glad to see some progress, I am also concerned that no further document was requested (account statement etc) and I was not asked to do medicals. I want to assume that these will follow in future. Your impute will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Congrats. I believe you will get your medical request tomorrow.
For account statement, they do not ask every applicant to send 6 months history.
