I sent it off in November but it wasn't till Dec 01, before they said it had been sent off to Accra. I think yours too left Lagos same day
Yes, left about same time, mine left on the 26th of November but I haven't heard from them yet... A friend that submitted a week after also got same email as yours... Could be a systems error...
Got the same email, then another about an hour later saying the passport is in transit from Ghana VFS to IRCC Office
I submitted at Lagos VFS on 30th Nov.

VFS provided tracking # - Dec 7, 2020
Med expires July 2021.
No updates since 7th Dec...
meanwhile i'm thinking of emailing Accra VO to ask if they have received my and to inform them i intend to travel before my meds clock 6months.
do you think it would be smart to email them of the above?

Please for those yet to send their passports out for visa, AVOID ACCRA OR VFS LAGOS.... I read on another platform that ppl are sending their passports to London VO, and visa is issued within a week... If you can, please send to them and avoid anything Africa

Can you get passport request from Accra VO and then send it to London VO?.... Also considering that you reside in Nigeria which is under Accra VO...
This is ill-advice. You can't just send it anywhere without IRCC approval. By default, passport requests come from the Ottawa visa office (VO). The letter that you will receive, in both your personal mail and MyCIC mail will instruct you to send your passport/s (including your dependents) to Canada. This is not the case for applicants outside Canada. They initially send a template mail, which may not be applicable to all applicants. You can only email IRCC that you are requesting to change the visa office that will issue your visa. For instance, if you live in the Philippines, you can request the Ottawa office to change the visa issuer to the Manila visa office because you reside in Manila. And just like every request you must give a genuine and valid reason for this change. You’ll know that your visa office has changed when you get another Passport Request Letter from the visa office that you requested to be transferred to and a 15-30 day reset.
