i personally had pof issue but not in this direction....have seen people having issue with submitting overblown proof of fund. however, the officer
want you to proof is thought on pof.

letter of explaination is execellent for this challenge and also INCLUDE THE CONTACT OF YOUR HR MANAGER, should they doubt your source of fund .

i did same ,bcos along the line i had over 2million deposited in my SALARY acct by my coy..and i gave the head of HR contact for verification.
Also analyse this very well with an individual who can scan tru your acct statement . really , i cant say much cos i cant view your statement.
Note that officers differs and your seems to be the tough one....#Another thing is , mayb your coy is on red flag with cic history u cant tell..

I've included statements for the last 4 years which show the amounts are paid in January. I added my employer reference number, made reference to salary and allowances as well. I did not mention specific amounts but will highlight them on the statements.

As you mention my IO may be tough or this could simply be a mistake. It's so hard to determine exactly what the issue is which is why I dread firing an open-ended response. What I've learnt though is that those two payments probably raise suspicion so I've just towed the line of explaining that they're legitimate and that even if they were removed I'd still be very eligible. I pray that God does the rest

I thought so too. I'm going to respond with newer statements but I worry because bonuses will be paid before I get the statements on Tues and that'll be another lump sum. Should I be making assumptions and not just ask what the problem is? Is it risky to simply resend the earlier documentation?

Providing more than the required proof of fund should not be seen as a problem. POF is a minimum fund requirement with respect to your family size. I will suggest you provide detailed explanation for each big ticket transaction in your account as well as the source and ensure that they are verifiable.

I still haven't heard anything about my passport which was submitted about a month and a week ago via DHL. The online tracker (mycic) shows application approved and closed yet no passport pick up mail.

I have sent a mail last week to AVO, raised CSE, tried calling and check my spam mail everyday, still nothing. I really don't know what to do next.

I'm sorry to hear that. I think you could do a combination of things:

1. Send another email, this time to both accra.immigration@international.gc.ca and AccraImmigration@international.gc.ca email addresses
2. If applicable, check the Inbox and Spam folders for the email account of your spouse
3. Keep praying

All the best! I'm pretty sure that you'll get the pick-up mail soon, but I understand how the waiting would get to anyone. Be encouraged.

I think you just need to explain source of the huge transaction into your account and back it up with document

This is not peculiar to you Victor, a couple of fsw2014 applicants with similar timeline are also awaiting pick up... you do not need to send an email to AVO, just be patient and your pick up mail will arrive... hopefully not later than next week

I would advise you send them an email soonest. If I didn't, I won't have know that a passport pick up request was sent to me 20 days ago on AVO file, although I never received the email.
