@duckirha yes I saw Imm008 but the confusion is it started with additional family information which I dont have, have the passports been stamped? Hoe long did it take? Was it DHL you used or VFS?

I sent our passports by DHL. As per dhl tracking, my passports will reach there on Feb 15. It should not take too much time to stamped. Let's see.

Good morning Sir/Ma.Please i was banned from posting on this forum.Please did my posts go against the rules? Please advice me so such doesn't happen again.Thanks

that sounds complicated... why didn't u use VFS? I used them in the past for my study visa and it was reliable

VFS is extra slow. You are more likely to get your passport back half the time if you use DHL. My visa stamping took whooping 4 weeks with VFS Lagos.

DHL office is just infront of my house. Somewhere in this forum I read that DHL is more reliable. DHL lady showed all emails from Canadian embassy. That's why I didn't hesitate.

Hope it will not make problem.

You are perfectly okay. AVO would send you an email once your passport is ready for pickup; an email you would then forward to DHL.

Just fill the form anyway and leave out the portion that does not apply to you. On the documents needed, they are all listed in your PPR mail, just read the mail carefully and you would be fine. I would choose DHL over VFS for speed.

Nemile should be able to explain how Dhl works. I used VFS and still waiting since 1 Feb.

VFS Lagos is slow, mine took 4 weeks, You may be lucky. For DHL, they do not do enclosed envelop for business operational reasons. They deliver to AVO for you. Once your passport is ready, AVO sends you an email for passport collection. Then, you give a copy of that email to DHL, and possibly a consent letter to pick up your passport for you.

I would be glad to know how long yours would take with VFS

I believe you only have to fill form IMM008 if there are changes in your marital status and/or family composition. You can look at the instruction again for clarity. However, there is nothing wrong in sending them another copy but ensure that the details are the same.

Hello ibejiopad,

Do you have any idea how long Accra office takes to issue visa in our passports? I sent passports in Feb 11 and today Feb 15, 8:20 am, courier was received by the embassy. For your case how many days did they take??

I agree DHL is a better option in terms of speed. I used VFS since February 11th, 2016 and no meaningful update yet. Am just wondering if the 15 days timelines can be achieved.

@Seyi90
Any new update from VFS?

@Ibejiopad,
I understand it took you about 4 weeks to get back your passport from VFS. Please do know if VFS met the 15 days timelines (set by CIC) to submit passport. Am using VFS and no meaningful feedback since Feb. 11, 2016. Am a bit worried.

Patib, don't worry. You have enough time, another 6/7 days left to reach time limit. Hope it will reach there before that. Someone told me that if VFS receives your passports within 15 days time limit, you are safe.

Seyi90, how long did they take to issue visa in Accra? Passports were received on February 15. I am waiting for email from embassy, so that I can ask DHL to pick up.
