To be honest i dont think there's anything new i can say here that hasnt been said already.
For me the most important thing....that supersedes everything else in my opinion is to come with a prepared mind.
What i simply mean is to for u to have it at the back of ur mind that nothing here comes easy. You will work for whatever u get. the system is very organized and will b a culture shock even to those who have traveled before.
Being mentally prepared helps u make lots of sensible decisions from the onset.
for example, even if u came in with 20,000 CAD, you will look for the very cheapest house or try to stay with relatives for a while, you would also spend your money very sparingly, try to honestly tell urself the difference btw NEED and WANT....itll help you alot!!!!
This is a place where if ur foundation(how u start) is good.....you will make it in about 3 to 5 years give or take.
Also, dont count ur eggs before they hatch.
you might search online for jobs and see lots of them....i can assure u that 80 to 90% may already b taken, dont think u'll just land and get one easy breezy.
Finally, PLEASE dont make any plans based on what u think u will get when u land....a promised job, a promised gift, admission to study a particular course and bla bla bla.....live everyday as it comes and plan....please PLAN.
We r resilient people, we always make it, dont b stuck on ur profession (my little opinion), listen to people who give advice but remember that they are giving it based on their experiences so make ur decisions and b prepared to live with the consequences, you'll get many opportunities as long as u keep trying.
Do ur research, this could b an opportunity to change careers if u once considered it or dont enjoy what u presently do....
I hope it helps just a tiny little bit.
