Hi guys ,

Need u r valuable advise . In my medical report (physical examination ) doctor has marked as Grade B (Which means abnormal) and the comment given is i had appendicitics surgery in the past.

Does all grade B ratings o medical lead to rejection by CIC ?

Does appendicitis surgery considered big issue to Canada health care and they reject?

No. It means they get looked over by the medical officer, and that comments are required.

Does appendicitis surgery considered big issue to Canada health care and they reject?
No. They are looking for excessive demand, which means that you cost $6,387 CAD per year or more in healthcare costs.

Having surgery (any surgery) means that they will be looking to see if there are future expenses. For example, if you had heart surgery, they will look for medications or further surgery that may go with it.

Appendicitis is a one-time surgery (generally speaking), and one that does not have much in the way of costs. I have had shoulder surgery, which also would make me a grade B. As my shoulder is fine, the medical officer would look at it, go "low cost", and call it a day.

Canada cares if you are contagious, or if your medical expenses exceed $6,387 per person per year. Prior appendicitis surgery is not, on it's own, something they care about.

No need to worry, I think what Kate explained about your past appendectomy being "low cost" in possible future health issues is clear enough. You did the right thing by admitting it.

If you withhold information, that's misrepresentation. That is grounds for some very bad things, including multi-year bans from Canada.

I've had multiple surgeries, and I reported them to the doctor. No problems at all. Honesty is the best policy when it comes to CIC, and they really don't care about prior health history, except to the extent it affects future health history.

There's a long process for medical denials:

It takes a fair amount of work on their part, and they have to justify the denial on a cost basis, or on the basis of something communicable (Tuberculosis/HIV). They don't just do it arbitrarily.

As long as you don't have any communicable disease or a problem that requires extensive and expensive medical care you should be fine. From my perspective appendicitis doesn't fall into these categories. I know many people who have had surgeries and still pass meds as none of their surgeries resulted in long term post op medical care or issue. CIC evaluates your application for long term strain on the medical care costs so think from that perspective.
