Appeal the Decision?

Hello everyone,

I am not yet rejected but I applied in September 2012 and I got my GCMS notes today which says that my Research Assistant work hours cannot be counted as work experience (though the file says "Review Required").

In case I get rejected, how does the appeal process work? Does anyone know? Where to apply, where to go?
I applied through my university, which provides us lawyer when we do applications but they are certainly useless when you tell them what going on and if they will be able to help to pursue the appeal.

Please help.

I know couple of friends who got PR applied under PHD class
As students not based on their research work experience

And people who work full time as research assistant who are not
Student but employed by university got their PR too.under CEC

In which category you fall, also when u applied for your notes

i fall under the student stream under old rules. I hace bachelor and a masters from canada and currently in my 2nd year of PhD. My education requirement was met frm my bachelors and the TA And RA work acquired during 5 semesters of masters and 1 semester of phd was counted for the total numbers of hours
there are lots of people who applied ubder same situation as me got PR.. Not sure what the VOs arethinking when reviewing such files frm late 212.. A persob got rejected saying RA hours cannot be counted.
If that happens to me, I would like to appeal!

Yeah, I remember about a category ur talking about...Some of my frns got PR though it...It really depend on your documents if they are persuasive for them. You may want to send some document if you think will help them in reviewing ur application.
