hey everyone,
My application is being processed through Port of Spain, Trinidad. It's a same sex sponsorship application which was in process since August 2009. So far, I have only received AOR in November.
My case is just like most of yours, an ARC case due to a failed Refugee Claimant and PRRA decisions. I left entered Canada at 15 and left at 24.
My questions are:
1. Do I still need to do another Police Clearance from Canada even though I have included one in my Sponsorship application from Canada?
2. What exactly do they ask for when they request ARC information?
3. How long does this entire process take? It's already 8 months since I applied for PR. Still haven't heard anything else.
I was told that the visa post in POS forms ARC as part of the application.
I am very well established back in Canada. Aside from not completing my university education I own property and I think there is a lot of compelling reasons why my application should be granted PR status.
My partner too works for a very well known company and holds a position that requires a lot of government background checks, etc.
