read the whole thing too. i did not see anything that said they will draw fewer candidates.

I don't think you understand the article.
 
This article tells us nothing New. The subject line of this post is incorrect and needlessly distressing to those in the initial stages of their application. Nothing has changed. Breathe.
 
Well it says the majority of immigrants this year will be processed from the pre-EE era.
And that CIC will do about 12-25 draws this year, we've done 6 so far, so worse case scenario is 12 ,which is 6 more.
Assuming 2 draws a month, that leaves us with 3 more months of draws.

We've always known there would be min of 15 to 25 draws this years, there's only been six. By 2017, CIC hopes that express entry will be the only method to apply to PR for skilled workers. The cap for CEC for example was reached on Oct 20th, the processing time for CEC under the old system is 12 months, so currently there are still CEC applicants under the old system even to this day, and there will be up until approx Oct of this year. What I am expecting is that the last draw this year will reveal to everyone the magic minimum EE CRS score required for PR, so no more "I have XXX, can I expect ITA?" questions and just straight facts and transparency on EE on behalf of CIC.
 
Why do you think the last draw this year will dictate the exact score for the rest of the draws? I would expect it will remain fluid and reactive to the scores of the swimmers in the pool at the time.
 
Read it as well there isn't any thing new in this article. The target numbers are stated clearly on the website so lets not be alarmist unless there is a radical piece of info that this whole entire forum has missed.

You mean Expres Entry numbers? Can you post the link to this numbers please?

I've been frustrated by people asking exactly that post, and people posting baseless, radical claims and just leave

No chances at all. Try and improve your score - start with retaking language tests
 
The article mentioned in the article is pretty old - April 2015.
As we all know that a lot of things have happened, so it is wise to ignore this article and avoid creating any assumptions based on it.
