According to this spreed sheet, some applicants that sent in their application in May already received the AOR.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Gm315tmNKWoywb7PwZBiE67fUmznYQrNhYVWXPXXJBw

For example IsaMF.
The application was received on 24-05-2019 and AOR on 03-06-2019.
Only 8 days later.

onkarsharan also got the AOR 6 days after the application was received.

Henrygomez76 got the AOR 25 days after the application was received.

10 applications in May already received the AOR after a very short period of time according to the information on the spreed sheet.

But there are still at least tree people whose application was received in April and we still haven't received the AOR.
I can see my application in ecas, but I am not able to link it to my account.
In ecas it says Application Received.

Why did those applicants already receive the AOR?
Are the applications not processed on a first-come first-served basis?

Why did they send out an AOR for applications of May before sending the AOR for the applications of April?

It's impossible for applications to be processed on a first come first served basis. By your logic, that would mean every application goes to the same office, to the same officer, and each one would stall while the previous application would go through BGC. As said time and time again on this forum, every application is different and will take different amounts of time to process - there are a ton of variables. I received my AOR in 10 days, but my BGC took longer while applicants from the month after me were already receiving decision made. You can't affect processing times, so just be patient and relax. Your AOR is on its way (unless there is something wrong with your app, of course).

My AOR came in 70 days and I was one of the last on the tracker to get it. I felt sometimes hopeless but then I took a breath and came to my senses. Remember that we here on this forum and who ever shares their timelines on the tracker are a ver very very small percent of the number of applicants IRCC gets daily. Even I have to tell myself this, comparing ur progress with others is only going to drive u nuts and consume u. No one needs that.

Now about ur application. On ecas what does ir say under sponsor?

According to IRCC all the applications of spouses already living in Canada are all sent to the same office in Mississauga.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5525-basic-guide-sponsor-your-spouse-partner-child.html#submit

That the BGC takes longer in some cases is understandable and that makes sense.

But that some applicants get the AOR in 10 days and others in 80 days when they applied for the same sponsorship category and send the application to the exact same IRCC address in Mississauga makes no sense and is not logic to me, I am sorry.

Unless the applications are just received in Mississauga but then processed in other offices across the country...

I was just curious to know the reason. But I guess only IRCC knows why and I am not going to find that out. :)

I am not stressed, no worries. :) I know our application will eventually get processed or sent back in case it is not complete. And if it gets sent back, we will just send it again. There is not other option.

I would just really like to understand why for some applicants it took 70 days like in your case or even 80 days to just get the AOR, while others got it in 6 days if it is an inland sponsorship application sent to the same office in Mississauga.

In ecas under sponsor it says that the Application has been received on April 30th. I also have the confirmation of Canada Post that they received it, since they signed it also.
So I am 100% sure they have it and I am not worried or stressed. Just curious.
But I guess only those who work at IRCC know why the AOR gets sent faster for some and slower for others, and I am probably not going to find that out. :)

No, it just says:
  1. Sponsorship
We received your application to sponsor (my name) on April 30, 2019.

  2. Permanent Residence
We received (my name) application for permanent residence on April 30, 2019.

I started to see this status in ecas already a few days after they received the application.
Maybe I will only be able to link it to my account after we get the AOR?

Maybe I cannot link it, because on the application in the section:
"Where does the applicant intend to live in Canada?"
I wrote 'Montréal-Nord', and when trying to link the application I have to chose 'Montreal Nord' from the drop down menu.
That doesn't exactly match due to the dash and the accent.
Also I wrote 'Québec' instead of 'Quebec'.

Maybe that could be the reason why the system cannot find the application yet?

My husband and I called CIC and they said to him, he may not receive an AOR, but that if the app. is in process, everything is fine. At the end he got the AOR by e-mail the same day in the evening.
