In our case, they have sent us an AOR after a week from the receipt of the application package. If you (the sponsor) provided an email address on your application, they will send you an email AOR. But if not, you will receive a physical mail.

you have quite a while to wait. it currently takes 55 days (mostly longer) to get AOR. According to the link posted above, they are now processing applications received may 1st. My suggestion would be to join the june applicant thread to track when people start receiving AOR.

I think the 55 days is the assessment of sponsorship eligibility. This is the Sponsorship Approval. But with the Acknowledgement of Receipt, you should receive a correspondence around that time, in our case, like I said, its only a week. But then again, it varies. I agree with rhcohen, you should join the June applicants thread to see the trend in the processing times.

i'm in the may thread, our app was received may 9th and we still haven't heard a thing from CIC. there are 3 that received only AOR (not SA), and they're past the 60 day mark.

thanks all for ur answers...ı have onemore question:ıf ı want to contact to CIC ın Mıssısauga whats theır e maıl?does anyone have any ıdea?

AOR is typically taking the amount of time it takes to get AOR. So it will be around 55 days or so. SA and AOR usually come within a couple of days of each other.

As for contacting CIC, if it is to see about AOR they will not give you any answers until you have passed the processing times shown on the website...which at present is 55 days.

If you were to ask me, you can update your address as soon as you have received an AOR or SA which contains your (or your sponsor's) UCI number, you can use this to log in to your eCAS account and change your address from there, that is, if that will be your permanent address (or your address during the whole application process). Again, if you have indicated an email address on your application, this will be CIC's PRIMARY means of communication.

They don't "have to" do anything...some people Never get AOR or UCI.....however for us who did get it...in my case Ivwaited 4 mths before receiving AOR with UCI # ...so good luck :).

4 months seems the be the average for receiving notification for inland, and 2 months seems to be the current wait time for AOR/SA for outland. It really depends on which application is being discussed, as there is quite a difference in processing and wait time.

I'm not sure who wouldn't receive AOR or UCI? Everyone who submits an application into immigration receives a UCI at some point, it is how CIC tracks information on the specific person. If CIC doesn't have a UCI number for an applicant, then i would suspect they don't have their application or it hasn't been opened for processing. As stated above, the length of time it takes to receive notification from CIC varies based on the TYPE of application submitted.

our applıcatıon ıs outland so ı thınk most 2 months :))

That seems to be the norm...but there are people here who never received AOR....so basically their post office tracking # is the AOR....not sure why that happens but it does....never know with cic
