What you can do is, send your application with this certificate. In case they require an updated one they will request you later. So by then you can get an updated one and send to them accordingly. In case they dno't need, good for youNh Nguyen said:Hi everyone,

I was reading the document check list for CIC after nominated and I'm confused about the requirement for police check certificate, could you please give your advice.
On the document check list, it's noted that police certificates are generally considered to be valid for one year from date of issue.
However, on the CIC website, under application guide, it's said "The certificate must have been issued no more than three (3) months prior to submitting your application"
I'm not sure which information is correct as I'm having my police check certificate 5 months old.

Hi, I have received UCI and EP number from CIO, NS today. However, I can't check my file in CIC application status. Shall I receive any other number (e.g., file number) from VO and then I can check the status of my application. How long it may take to receive a mail from VO and medical request from now.
