Hello Everyone,

I would like to inform fellow forum members that I have just right now received AOR and UCI number, exactly after 5 months. My file was received by CIC on 22nd September 2014 and AOR received on 17th February 2015.

Hope fully this will give a ray of hope of good news to other PNP applicants waiting for AOR. YES, CIC has started processing PNP applicants files.

Hey Guys,

I have applied for PR which was signed for my registered mail on the 30th of Dec. Still no AOR. I brought my PNP letter to extend visa to the Douglas border and they were only able to extend it by 90 days because I didn't have any AOR. I was told as soon as I have it, I can extend my visa without having to pay again. Does anybody know how long I can expect to wait? My work visa is due to expire on the 9th of May and I am getting a little anxious!

As you can read here, AOR waiting time is 4-5 months, so expect it somewhen between 1 April and 1 May 2015 with no guarantee.
It is not hard to extend your temporary resident visa as a visitor for any amount of time. Dealing with work permits is harder.

To Tenkrun and Odonacer,

I sent my application on Sept. 9, recived by CIO on the 20th of Sept. AOR received Feb. 17 only..what a relieve after 5 mos. so will wait again for the next instruction/email (hope medical request and other stuff)..Need patience here and trust Above...Truly, CIO is now moving and those who have no AOR yet, it's coming shortly...God bless.

When you say you application was received by CIO on some date, does that mean that your application status is showing "application received" starting from that date or they just received mail on that date but not started processing it yet? Tnx.

I also have an Express Entry Profile created and if by some miracle I receive an ITA before I get an AOR from CIC can I still continue with Express Entry?
