Hey all,

Trying to see what the average wait time is for AOR. We've been waiting 5 months and havent received it yet. We really need MSP.

Thanks

5 months is way, way, way too long (most people get an AOR within a month or less). In our case, we got no AOR in 3-4 weeks, and I immediately sensed that something must've gone wrong. Sure enough, something did go wrong......our paperwork apparently vanished during transit to CPC-Mississauga. Thankfully I watched our application very closely.....and because of my repeated contacts (emails, fax, phone) with the CIC, finally after 1,5 month an immigration officer from CPC-M finally phoned me, to deliver the bad news. If I just kept waiting and waiting, who knows what could've happened. Either the officer would've called me much later, or our application could've been cancelled, or it could've been stuck indefinitely.

I suggest that you immediately email CPC-M right now (cpcm-extcom@cic.gc.ca), to find out what's going on...

I will email them for sure. I did find it crazy it hasnt been opened yet. Thanks

What did you do to correct this? Restart from scratch? That would suck...

Didn't you apply inland? The person who commented above applied outland. They are two completely different processes and you won't have AOR that quickly with inland.

you should have received AOR by now. Now CIC send 2 AORs (one for applicant one for sponsor). We applied October 27,2014. We never received applicant Aor, even though CIC said it was sent December 3,2014. but February 25,2015 we received sponsor AOR. I would definitely recommend to call CIC.
