Hello to all,

Great forum.. I've been reading and learning quite a lot. Thank you to all who post.

I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight or guidance. I sponsored my spouse for PR from within Canada in September 2020. She's a US citizen but is with me in Canada at the moment so we applied for in-Canada sponsorship as well as open Work Permit. I haven't heard anything from IRCC as of yet. I'm fully aware that because of COVID, and reduced IRCC staff.. that processing times are delayed so not expecting anything to be finalized for at least a year.

I was just curious if anyone with a recent sponsorship application has received an Acknowledgement of Receipt or Sponsor Approval? If so, how long did it take from when you submitted the application? Any clue on how long the first stage approval can take??
