AOR received, Please Help

Dear All,
I submitted my application on 03rd Nov. 2008 to London office. Recently I got AOR from London dated 06 January 2009.
In the first page of this letter it is mentioned that my application is being reviewed by Nova Scotia for eligibility however, in the 2nd page it is mentioned that my occupation does not correspond to the announced list (Which is not true), therefore, application could not been processed, documents would be returned, fee would be refunded…etc

Does anyone have similar experience?

I’m totally confused. Please help.

Can you read it again. Does it not say IF your occupation does not correspond to the one on the list then everything gets returned.

Unfortunately no, I have read it times & times and it is really confusing.
For your information, the fee enchased last December and they attached to their letter the receipt including the file no!!!!!!!!!

the fee gets encashed no matter what. if you get rejected, you will get a refund. thats my understanding anyway.
Do you have a file number, if yes, try using that to log into e-cas (or whatever it is called).

My 2 Cents Worth:
Sorry to hear about this bad news, but could you throw/Shed some light on your occupation and what you do? Also, do you have a photocopy of the form u sent in? If yes go over the form and check the NOC u you filled in and other stuff maybe u will find something "UNUSUAL". I am writing all this because, I have seen on this forum people filling in the wrong NOC even though they do qualify and have had to write a letter to CIC to get them changed. Could this have happened to you?

Thanks for your reply.

I'm a geotechnical engineer having more than 10 years of experince. I used NOC 2144.

Actually the form is filled by my legal representative who is abroad till next week. I'm waiting for him to clarify the situation.

I'll let everybody know his interpretation.

2144 is in the 38 occupations list.

can't comprehend what happened wrong.

i also applied nov 2008, i received the same letter jan 2009, but my case is that my noc 0122 is not in the 38 list
i'm now waitinhg to hear any changes in this 38 noc so i can apply again
